Thanks jwil, Beanie, MF, HSL and Dancing
I think it went as well as it could have done. I was up by 4.40am having woken repeatedly. We had 30 minutes of technical problems and in the end the assessor had to use 2 phones so sis could be on call. The call was then 2 hours!! We got cut off half way through but she called back. The lady was lovely. She spent a long time drilling into my difficulties which was upsetting but thorough. I didn't disguise that it upset me. If she made good notes - then I'm hopeful I should have scored points. Should be able to get a copy of her report in 2 weeks and decision within 8 weeks.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Ah well - I get paid tomorrow. I'm am going to get about £50 more than I put in my budget - as I'm in a lower pension band since April than I was before as they uprated all the thresholds.
DD gets paid tomorrow and gets a bonus. She should pay me £150 from tomorrow. Will see what happens. I also should only have to do one long work journey for her in July and then that should be it. Will be interesting to see what her impact on gas, water and elec will be from being home 7 days a week again.
I have a family birthday this weekend to which too many people have been invited - to which it's compulsory I go - but which I'm already dreading. I will need to escape either to upstairs rooms or go for a walk as I can't see myself coping. What's worse is that it will be the first time I'm seeing many of those people since my divorce and neither I nor my kids will want to discuss that - and some of the people coming have the sensitivity of rhinos. I'm taking DD. DS should be there which I'm looking forward to. A sibling that has been living abroad this year will also be there and I am looking forward to seeing them. The rest sounds completely overwhelming. It will probably use up half a tank of fuel. I would normally book Monday off to help me recover - but can't really do that when I've had time off this week already - plus the person I'd ask is on leave themselves. I don't want to use up all my leave on the wrong things though.

That's why private supplementary care does help as more time is allowed to find out the full picture and treat the cause not symptoms.
Hope the party goes ok and you get escape breaks, just repeat it's no-one's business when they ask and walk away if they keep going on.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3
