Prosperous soul embraces creativity & mortgage neutrality

Hi MF the portions are huge - the same as my local carvery for the main bit - but they do a pot of gravy, a massive yorkshire and roasties on top in separate bags. They are light on meat - to the point I'm tempted to just do the veggie options moving forward. I saved half of one for tomorrow - and have the whole of the other one left so worked out really well.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I belatedly realised that my mortgage went out yesterday - so that's around £645 knocked off the principal. So now down to around £198,132.
I got my SW code via the council so can go for free for 12 weeks starting next week. I am potentially eligible for a second lot of 12 weeks if I can show regular attendance and weight loss. So saved/avoided £60 with the possibility of a further £60 saving/avoidance later. I am going to join the one I spoke to the consultant at around a month ago. I need some accountability so hopefully that will help. It's early evening so I can eat after it - and even if I have to be in the office - I could go there straight from work. Thanks @beanielou and others who told me there might be a scheme.
I need to sort out some cat litter for my cat Thursday night to tide it over until DD returns home next day and leave out extra food. I think there's some in the garage but I'll need to check. I may ask my neighbour to let the cat out on Friday am as she has a key.
I now need to finish getting ready for work and actually start. I still want to fit in a walk at some point today too.
DS has just told me he may be going abroad with work for a few months soon. Exciting for him - but I will miss him if it gets extended. Extra glad I'm seeing him this week.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

We have been having the TGTG carveries too ,they are delicious and only just over two pounds for the vegetarian option much cheaper than buying all the vegs and using the oven7

Do the vegi option and maybe have some sliced meat from a home cooked meal to add to it. Craving a carvery now!
Good luck with SW, you'll get loads of support and encouragement, it will keep you accountable.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.5 -

I think the amount of meat you get with TGTG depends on what they have left, and how many people have ordered them. The first ones we got had masses of meat, whilst the vege one wasn't as good! Might be worth trying the meat one again.
I Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.

Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present.

Hi savingholmes. I have finally managed to catch up on your diary! It moves at quite a pace.
Sounds like things have really started to fall in place for you which is fantastic. I say fall in place but actually you have put in so much hard work and effort to get to this point you have made things happen. Well done.
Great to see you have the Slimming World option sorted - it's given me much more accountability and it quite simple to follow really. Throw yourself into it as much as you can because you really will get lots out of it.

I'm catching up too. I love the description of your swim. It reminded me of what I've been missing.
