  • Got my cheque but for the wrong amount!! should be £170 but only £18.26!! this is based on the final bill which has an estimated reading over a 1000 kw out!! Looking I have a photo of the reading and Octopus my new company has a record of the new reading .

    Any one has the same problem? thanks

    I've been charged for half a year's worth of energy in an eight day period, adding around £200 to the final bill. Emailed the administrators with the photo of the meter reading I originally submitted and kept on record. No response as of yet.
  • I’m owed £497, I was telling Symbio for months I was paying too much DD but they wouldn’t listen so I moved suppliers in September and in the meantime they went bust …
    Rang Eon Next today and they told me (again) that all I can do is wait, I could do with this money before Xmas but no chance 😭
    Then sent an email to Ofgem but received an automated ‘Symbio’ email reply telling me to wait !!!
    Very angry and disappointed. 
    Honest cannot believe that a cheque for full amount has just been delivered by Royal Mail.
    It has come from Eon Next who, a few days ago, had never heard of me and didn’t have my details on record !!

    Could you post an email address for the administrators please (not sure if I’m always last due to being alphabetically challenged).

    This sounds like a daft question but I presume final bills clearly say FINAL on them?

    Hopefully if people sent in a meter reading for 3rd/4th October  as requested by EoN (and possibly sent one to SYMBIO as well) then it should be reasonably easy to sort out. Which is what I did and my credit from SYMBIO to EoN and final bill were just about correct despite some of the daft estimated meter readings.

    If that wasn't done or regular readings hadn't been sent in, then I'd guess that it'll take a lot more effort to work out the state of some accounts, especially if they are based on SYMBIO's fantasy readings rather than actuals.

    It's already been posted earlier in the thread  ^^^ that way (page 3). Or google finds the same address at

    The e-mail is headed "Symbio Energy Limited - Final Bill for SExxxxxxx - October 2021" and in a blue panel the pdf says "Your Final Electricity Bill".   But I was with Symbio til the bitter end.

    Its still EONs responsibility to process your refund

    You need to complain to EON as they are claiming to have sent everyone a refund on their website i.e.

    If your final account with Symbio Energy Limited in Administration was in credit and you changed supplier prior to 3rd October 2021, E.ON Next will shortly be sending a cheque for the amount of the credit to the billing address we have for you by the end of November. If your address has changed then please email us at symbio@azets.co.uk so that we can update your details. 


    Of course the letter / cheque will have your name on it and so with RM mail forwarding set up will get to you... unless... but even so worth telling Azets to update via the email addy you used for Symbio.

    Just heard back from the administrators. The cheque has been sent to the old address :(
