Evening MFWs
I've got to the point of the day where I’m slumped on the sofa waiting for DH to get home from a meeting. DD is thankfully letting me slump with the help of CBeebies 😂
After a few quiet weeks things are picking up work-wise. Looks like I might have a manic few days trying to catch up!Sold something on marketplace for £40 and found a lightweight pushchair on there for our holiday for the same amount. Just need to collect it.I put together a spreadsheet for the holiday last night and worked out the budget. It’s a bit wonky because when I did my initial very rough estimate to check we could afford it I forgot about kennel fees - £370 for 2 dogs for 11 days <eek> emoji definitely needed. Should be ok with just a little bit extra to save each month as we plan to make use of the all inclusive food as much as possible and won’t be doing too many day trips with DD.I’m trying to catch up on a few diaries but I’m so far behind on the fast moving ones!MFW diary Adventures and Overpayments

Eugh. I'm completely lacking in motivation and enthusiasm at the moment. I'm feeling a bit run down and I'm not really sure why but I want my mojo back
February money shuffles are done. We managed to get to the end of the month in budget (only just) and I had £12 left in my personal account which I've transferred to my savings.
This month is looking OK but as DH is still waiting for a payment from work he did in December, we haven't been able to transfer the full amount into our holiday savings. Also there is nothing spare for OPs.
I knew this would probably happen some months but it's still annoying me!
This month we will continue to keep a close eye on our expanses to see if we can squeeze anything out of our general spends to top up our savings.
One of my big goals this month is to get started with matched betting so I will start by watching the team profit videos again to refresh my memory.

I've decided to have a 30 min break today before I wake DD up from her nap. I 'should' be cleaning the bathrooms and doing the Tesco order but I think I need a rest!
I've just submitted my January invoice for £462.50 which is much better than I expected as the start of the month was very quiet. Actually I've just checked and it's my second best month ever! I've recently taken on some new students too which will help in the future.
We set up my new desk and chair in the spare room over the weekend and it almost feels like I have a real jobi took the advice of someone very wise on @savingholmes diary (sorry I can't remember who) and bought a bigger desk than I thought I would need and I'm so glad I did. It's so annoying not having enough space and it means I've been able to move a load of stuff out of the living room including the printer.
Now all the money shuffles are done it's the long boring wait until the end of the month!

Afternoon everyone
Well our budget for this month might be tight, but there are already a load of 'extra' earnings on the way towards next months budget.- £10.15 cashback in our bills account
- Almost £30 earnt from pr0lific in the last couple of weeks!
- I've got loads of work coming in - far more than the beginning of last month.
- DH is going to do some more painting for my mum
- I'm booked for a sports massage instead of seeing the physio this month. Thought it was worth a try at £35 for 1 hour (£30 first appointment) compared to £39 for 30 minutes!
Not so good:
No winnings on the pr£mium bonds this month unfortunately.
Just booked DH a first dentist appointment for £120 (eek emoji times 100) but they will have a quick look at DD for free.
I'm still feeling a bit meh. It's the kind of thing where a nice walk in the fresh air would probably do me good but I can't even begin to motivate myself to do it

Glad you have your new desk set up. It does make a huge different clearing all that out the living room. I love leaving my day job behind and going to chill in another room again.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks @savingholmes I'm feeling a bit better this week but not really sure why. I'm wondering if it might be hormonal.

Evening all
Not much to report really. We've just been plodding along trying to be mindful about our spending.
I've already cashed out over £50 from Prolific because I finished a long-term study and got a bonus for completing every session.
Also I managed to get a small oil-filled radiator from marketplace for £5 which means I can work more comfortably without freezing!
Other than that it's not been very excitingMFW diary Adventures and Overpayments
