Sorry things are so hard, Missy. You are going through a lot of trauma just now, and I always find when that happens old, unhealthy thinking patterns crop up - probably because they are the oldest and easiest for our brain to access. So just remember to be gentle with yourself - you are an amazing person and this is an awful time for you, and remember to take care of yourself and value yourself the way you would want one of your children to do.Live the good life where you have been planted.

Thank you @elisheba such kind words. Im sorry I haven’t been around. It was my birthday then I’ve been working for 6 days straight. Although I’m v much trying to be kind to myself. In other news, There’s still a glimmer of hope with one of the jobs I should know by end of Sept.
Me and OH are just sat here talking about whether to sell the business or not. A lot of plans to be made and discussions to be had. Hope you’re all ok.3 -

Hope you had a nice birthday. Fingers crossed for the job."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0

Ok so lots of things have happened since I properly posted last. Feel like we MAY have turned a corner and that our luck may have changed with life and everything. In the end I got offered both jobs I had been talking about! I’ve chosen the one I think I will get the most out of, it pays the most too and has all the benefits as in pension, healthcare sick pay etc. it’s been a very long time since I’ve been employed rather than self employed. So I start at the v end of October but doing ad hoc stuff in between as it’s the ad hoc work I’ve been doing up until now.I think me and OH have also turned a corner! It’s still small steps and early days, but he seems to be content and happy. He had to look after the children whilst I worked away this week, and being a step dad he’s never had to do this for any length of time. But he managed to do it for 4 days. And actually enjoyed it! So that’s good. We’ve been trying to do up the house. So I have unfortunately spending A LOT of money and have just let the budget fall by the wayside for months now. I’m now somewhat short of money as I’m waiting for invoices to be paid. So I need to work out how much money I do and don’t have until I get paid from proper job when it starts. I’m assuming I’ll get paid in December for November so I need to get those invoices in today if I’m in the hope of ever getting paid. But it will be tight. Have most house things now. There are other things I want but I think they’ll have to wait. Do need paint and tile edging so maybe £50 for those. But the fruit bowl and non essential things will have to wait.
So that’s my little update for now.2
