Hey @daintydaisy  lovely to hear from you. Considering my degree is in English literature, I am a bit embarrassed to say I love trashy crime novels. Jack reacher and the mark billingham detective stories. The ones I’ve been reading on Holiday are the Matt Brolly Detective Louise Blackwell books, 4 out of the 5 books are £1 on kindle. I also read a Sheila O’Flannagan book which I Actually enjoyed which isn’t a crime novel but I do enjoy her books.

Nothing to be embarrassed about!! One of the best books I’ve read was a trashy crime book - Dead Simple :) have you ever read Thursday murder Club?? Meant to have fab reviews but not read it yet. Will have to look up Sheila O’Flannagan as I’m not familiar with her!

Yes @daintydaisy I’ve read both the murder club books. I loved them! Sheila oflannagan writes chick lit, but they’re well written and aimed at people more my age rather than the 20 year olds who are young and single looking for love 🙄.

Oooh don’t know if I’ve read dead simple. Will have a look at my kindle in a mo.

Trashy crime novels are great!  There's a place for all types of book.  Sometimes I like a classic or something challenging, sometimes I like fluffy chick lit.  It depends on what's going on and how much brain power I have.

If you weren’t self employed have you checked what help you could get with childcare costs from UC? They can cover 85% of the costs which might help swing it ?

Ok up super early, ended up going to bed so early last night when we got home as was exhausted, from barely sleeping as OH has a cold and has kept me up for the last 6 nights snoring his head off. Even with ear plugs in! It’s so nice to be at home and sat in the lounge. Holidays are nice but the travelling and only having 1 room to live in for 2 weeks, it’s so nice to actually have some space and not have to worry about being quiet so OH can sleep.

Currently drinking a cuppa and watching eat well for less. Trying to wake up a bit then I’ll write some more about budgets.

had a friend staying in the house whilst we’ve been away, they’ve eaten most of the food that was in the house 🙄. So need to do a big shop. They were nice enough to buy milk and bread so we have enough for tea and toast, which is lovely though. Currently I have bread and eggs and some frozen pain au chocolat. I think I may have some chicken in the freezer and some rice and a pepper, so don’t actually need to go shopping today.

I’m not going to lie I’m feeling a little bit overwhelmed. I think I came up with so many plans and things to implement at home whilst I’ve been on holiday, I’m now a little bit rabbit in the headlights and stressed at the thought of doing it all. Being so tired doesn’t help.

    Taking some Deep breaths.
