Thank you @jwil and @RelievedSheff I appreciate your comments. I do understand why he wants it, but I don’t know much about cars and they are both lovely, they both look the same to me, as same make and model almost, so it is pretty lost on me. I do feel for OH a little I guess. So I’m drinking coffee and have my planning books out. I’ve come up with some great organisational things to help me. I just need to be more organised, and if I can get up 10 minutes earlier it will be so much easier. I’m thinking of getting an Alexa for the childrens play room so I can set alarms for them to do things. Also Sunday is going to be my reset meal plan chop veg day. But I want to make sure I do actually manage to sit down on a Sunday as usually I end up running around as the rest of the week is so disorganised, I spend the week catching up.Will write my full lists soon.1

Still in the planning stages of life at the moment, it’s so hard to figure anything out as pay and work and life is so all
over the place, with me having the children all of the time then only half of the time. I’m trying to figure out how to plan for both.I love September as it has always felt like my new year. So I’m wanting to implement everything for the start of the school year. But I can put things in place when I’m back to see what works and what doesn’t.Finances I need to workout, childrens clubs are costing me more this year as May has another dancing session and Roo is moving over to squad swimming. So need to factor that in 🤦🏻♀️. I really would like to try and make more money somehow.
Hope you’re all Ok.1 -
Ok separating all money out etc. it’s such a push to pay everything I want to. I’ll put a new SOA up soon.
Am able to take on a new client but not sure I want to but needs must, it just means I’m working every day but random odd hours here and there. But until I get another job it’s what has got to happen.
Food shopping has had to go up to £50 a week.As will my half of mortgage and bills due to Oct energy hike, I’m thinking another £50 each for me and OH will hopefully cover it but who knows!Honestly starting to feel a bit sick about all of the things I need to pay for each month, it just keeps mounting. Going to try and do some more surveys. I can get a possible zoom pt but it’s 0630 which is so early and I really struggle with lack of sleep anyway.
argh! Will write more later, as need to go. Please leave any suggestions of diaries for me to read, especially your own, I love the inspiration I get from them all.X1 -
Sooo I’ve been doing lots of money juggling and planning. And I should be able to pay all of things I’d like to start paying off, this is at the moment, but is all dependent on business ticking along as is etc.I’m not sure how I would go about separating the money etc as I would need to try and put things in pots almost daily as money comes in and out in dribs and drabs.
I might see if I can take what I have in savings and live a month in hand, that should really help, that way I could put everything into little pots. But my savings would be gone as such. Just had a look at my Monzo account is et up for pots etc, but all my pots seem to have disappeared! Don’t really understand Monzo if I’m honest, wonder if I can open a Starling account instead and see if that is easier to manage.
This month is tight with being away and all. So all or any overpayments and putting things in pots etc will be from September onwards.I will write my SOA later but have very little battery left. Just having a coffee.Have realised with all of my trying to pay for stuff, I keep forgetting about myself…… I need to practice a little self care. I do minimum on hAir and makeup and with age it is starting to show. My hair has started to dreadlock itself after 2 days of not washing it and I have to pull out huge knots, my hair doesn’t seem to grow at all, so need to buy some deep conditioner and get OH to cut it to try and save it a little. I also need to dye it again. Im happy to dye it myself, but it only seems to last about 6 weeks on a permanent dye. My white hair, comes through really quickly. I’m one of those people that despite having fair skin and blue eyes, has dark curly hair. And at 40 I’ve not gone grey but bright white, so it really shows, and I’m not prepared to go grey gracefully. Any thoughts on decent home dyes that will cover the grey a bit more?
I grow my nails really long then bite them off when I get stressed or pick at them as they’re not the strongest. So in the past I’ve had them done. But I know, I don’t need to pay £35 every 2 weeks. I just need to grow them and maybe put a strengthener on them. And using a face moisturiser might actually be something I need to do 🤦🏻♀️. I’ve used a cheap Nivea face cream whilst Away and it’s been lovely. I just need to keep doing it!Sorry this turned into a bit of a self indulgent post. Sorry, I guess it’s just easy to forget about ourselves when we’re trying to look after everyone else and stop the ship from sinking!Well battery is nearly out, so I shall speak later.1 -
Definitely use a daily moisturiser. I've always used a really cheap one from Boots and then last year they stopped selling it so I am currently trying out other cheap options and one of the cheapest things I've found is baby lotion! It does the job and it's really cheap - a big bottle for £1 from Tesco - it's their own brand one.
I think you'll find that home dyes are only designed to last for about 6 weeks so don't think you'll find anything which will last any longer. I'd just look for the cheapest and try it to see if it suits your hair type and experiment until you find the cheapest one which works for you. I used to the Scwartzkoft range which could generally be picked up quite cheaply in places like Superdrug or Savers - I've decided I'm old enough to go grey gracefully now and save some money!

Just de-lurking... you say you struggle with mornings... what time do you go to bed? I'm tucked up well before 10:30 and ready to go by 05:30... I just LOVE those early morning hours when nobody else is awake and I can be myself. I've even been known to go for a 5 mile walk before anyone else is even stirring. It's magical!#2 Saving for Christmas 2024 - £1 a day challenge. £325 of £3661

Hey @JGB1955 thanks for delurking! We go to bed about 12ish, so sleep 1230. It’s because a lot of evenings we work a late shift so not home until 11. And I love the late nights as running the business, we rarely get left alone with messages etc coming in until late. So it’s that peaceful time to relax. Sometimes I’ll fall asleep with my head on OH’s lap whilst he plays on his Xbox. He gets up later than me as I get up with the children and he tends to work later than me, so he doesn’t usually fall asleep like me. I get about 6.5 hours a night. Occasionally I will get more. I’m managing a lot better now I’m not doing the early PTs.@j@joedenise thanks for that, I do like the Nivea one. My stepmum uses it and has nice skin. I like the colour of my hair dye and can pick it up at about £3.50 so not all bad. I guess I’ll just have to do it more often.Struggling a bit today. Hotel is sooo busy and there are people everywhere. Might need to find somewhere to escape too. I’m v much an introverted person. So it’s a bit much. Hence why I’m on here you are my escape 😁.1

Is there a root retouch product available for the hair dye you use? That might be an option to increase the time between full dying.

@joedenise I also meant to say, I love the baby lotion from Tesco, me and OH use it as body lotion as we get really dry skin.1
