NST November 2021: Turtle Strength

Afternoon turtles. Didn't post yesterday but it was NSD 3. Very quiet day at work. Did manage a morning workout, lunchtime swim and evening walk though so that's positive! And I was able to get on with some housework.
Today I'm at my part time job, again it's kind of quiet. I've bought a couple of gifts online for the December day, am trying to use my time wisely to get things done during quiet moments. A few more full time job options have come up as well for me to explore. Not much else to report. Hope everyone is having a good weekend!Save £2,400 tuition fees - £2,321.04 as of 08/24
Pay off credit card by December 2024 - £1,450/£2,0008 -

eeek I didn't bookmark the challenge and wondered where it was!!
set your budgets - Must say I don't do this... Maybe I should, I just pay everything (rent, bills, dog insurance, savings and emergency savings)
-pay to your debt or savings first. - Done
-aim for at least 15 NSD – I will try and keep a record this month. I don't normally.
-avoid any and every chain coffee shop - don't drink coffee so has never been a regular feature of life.
-take your lunch to work every single working day. - can do that.
-remove 60 items from your house (2 per day) - Can do that for sure.
-use up your toiletries and household cleaners before buying any more. -yep can do that.
-go on 2 outings. -- am going away for a weekend and possibly seeing a friend so will count them.
-tread lightly on our planet and get out there and enjoy fresh air every day: I do a walk every day.
-donate £5 or items or time to a charity you support. - Yep can do that.
-come on here every day and post three things you are grateful for. - will try but am in such a grump these days I am finding it hard to be grateful.
-reach out to help other people. Don't try to CHANGE people, just LOVE them. LOVE is what changes people. Honestly I think I will find this difficult too. Sorry to be so negative, I think at the moment I am feeling like such a mug.
-start 1 or 2 new habits this month, ones that are simple and will make you feel better (eg: drink a glass of water on waking, practise meditation…) I have coincidently completely changed my morning routine and that has helped massively with mornings...
Apologies for the lateness to the challenge, am glad to have found you and shall now catch up on the 66 pages I missed!

Love and hugs to all the Turtle-Gang.NSD 3 in the sack. Weirdly, did not wake up until quarter to ten. For someone who sees 7am on the sofa with 2nd cup of coffee every day, I can only assume I needed it. DH stayed in til 10.30! He is still recovering though.Took smallest 2 into town to spend their loot - their money will not last long the way they spend it. Important life lesson.DS1 is returning home for Reading Week - he missed his coach as they close the barrier 2 minutes before it leaves, and he got to stand forlornly looking at it as it drove away. Another life lesson learned - the time on the ticket is the time it has gone.So his bed is made and ready for him, his brothers are excited, and supper will be an hour later than expected as he is on a later coach.
Muppet.
Grateful for: a warm house, a full house, curry for supper.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

apple_muncher said:Buffy, I do like your ' I can do that one, but no way can I do that one!' approach to the challenge. Maybe change the reaching out to others one to be reaching out to yourself. Look after you.Mothernerd, you have definitely done the adventure stuff!

((Hugs)) Buffy.DD and 2 GCs visited today, and DS popped in to pick up some things I had sorted out for him.DD took an old badminton raquet for the local school, who want old sports equipment for the kids at playtime, and DS took a heater and a bottle of chemical loo cleaner stuff from the garage, so 3 more items have left the house today. Running decluttering total is 16 / 60.Still only 1 / 15 NSD though, as I gave the GCs some money to spend in the charity shops in town this afternoon.I made cheese scones, and gave everyone who wanted it lunch (pasta for the kids and toasted sandwiches for everyone else).Dinner will be baked chicken with tandoori marinade, in the oven now. Chicken from the freezer, which I am determined to clear down so that I can defrost it, and the marinade was in the fridge needing using up.Grateful today for seeing family members and more things leaving the house7

Love the idea of 'Sprouts Day', Idee2111! 😂 Think I will call it this from now until nearer the big day!
Only achieved 5K steps today whilst taking Mum food shopping. Everywhere was heaving. Wished we'd left it a bit later when everyone had gone home for bonfire parties.
Shopping was a bit dearer than I hoped but did include 2 birthday presents: a bottle of wine for my uncle and a set of pretty cereal bowls in a stand for my niece.
In my infinite wisdom i tipped all my craft stuff onto my bed to try and condense it down a bit this morning. Not the wisest move as it's still on there and it's nearly bedtime! Better go and shift it.
Sorted out some Easter cookie cutters, a flashing stress ball chick and some flower paper punches to declutter. Think this takes me to 5 items.
O/15 NSD. Struggling with this one.
Just remembered I had an email some time ago that my Library Card had expired. Need to renew it this week and as library is open on reduced hours i will need to time it right. I also have a book which is well overdue so will have to go in waving white flag and with enough money to pay any fine.
Fingers crossed that our cream tea afternoon is still on tomorrow if everyone is well enough to go.
Have a lovely evening, I'm off to clear my bed! X7 -
Today I am grateful for finding joggers for dc, for dc loving bouldering and making a new friend, for leftovers for lunch, for strong coffee.

Horrible weather today, started off with torrential rain, ended in gale force winds! Sold some things at the craft fayre, but not as much as last month. At least I don't have to rush to make more stock for the next fayre in a couple of weeks now.
Early start, so shattered tonight. Wrapped up in a blanket until hubby lit the fire, & watched TV. Looking forward to a day at home tomorrow.
Grateful for selling some things at the fayre, a warm fire, being cosy inside when the weather is bad outsideUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃
