Can I ask for some inspiration what you all use for your pots please? I haven't technically potted anything...yet. It's all just jingling around in my coat pocket!

Last year wasn't good for me potting but to be fair coins didn't pass through my hands too much, but every little soon added up.

We always empty our pots and declare what's in them in October, please make a note of this year's date: 27th October 2020.

Please pop your SPC No on your signature as it's a great help. To do so please to to your profile Photo, top right, click then go to Signature Settings, lower and on the left, be sure to SAVE before fleeing!

Hi dinglefoot, there's no need to spend anything on one, use a coffee jar or any pot that's been used for something in a former life. Either that or buy one of the cheap tins from £1 stretcher or similar. I've got 4 different ones I used to use though I don't at the moment as I transfer mine from the bank account to my SPC account. No need to spend much at all, have a look around the house then pop the money from your pockets in!! 😁

@dinglefoot mines an old tea tin.  It originally had 80 teabags in it apparently and it must have been one of those “freebies” to encourage you to buy what you don’t really need 🤣. I cut a slot in the lid which has thick black tape round the edges so your notes don’t snag on the way it and then I just tape round the lid join; works perfectly.

Dinglefoot I’ve used an old sweet shop jar for the last 15 years, I used a hot knife to make the slit in the lid and then tape it up around the lid

Count me in again Sue please.  My pot is purely roadkill and finds were appalling over the last 12 months but with people going out a bit more now, I might have a better year - so fingers crossed!  Think I was #45 last time - happy to have that one again!

That's strange Westie, your post wasn't there when I put mine on, yours is timed 4.14, whereas mine was definitely 11.30, very weird and clearly to do with MSE ! 

Your cash saving was, as we all found, very difficult to get hold of, maddening! Not to worry let's hope it picks up at some point.

Well done Hetty, it sounds good to me and beats paying out for a pot.

You're still in, claremylove, everyone is! However, I'm still waiting for you to declare your potting, could you please do so on SPC 14? It doesn't matter how much or how little you managed to pot, as with everyone else, we need it declared, please?!
