Sealed Pot Challenge ~ 15

Hello everyone

Between 1 Nov 2021 to today 15 Jan 2022, I've been potting my cash in both Virtual savings account and piggy bank at the end of the week. I've just counted it and between them I have saved £27.19. This is done by rounding to the nearest pound my current account savings the day before I get paid, and for cash weekly roundig up my purse and putting the spare into the piggybank.

Received some very nice change from a taxi fare so have potted £3.10 today. I didn't pot it all as I might need some in the next few days so I have a few £1 coins which may go in the pot later in the week😊

So very sorry about your cousin AntoMac, my condolences 

My busy life is continuing as I am travelling back and forth to help my DD.  I brought her two dogs home with me for the weekend so that's one less thing she has to think about.  I'm taking them back tomorrow and staying for another couple of nights.  Poor Barnaby has reflux and is finding it hard to lie flat after his feeds.  He's fine if he's lying on Mum or Dad's chest but only seems able to sleep for about 45 minutes if he's lying down.  Ah well, I'm sure it's something he will grow out of, in the meantime, I'm very happy to do some cuddling.

Another £6.33 in the pot, enjoy the rest of the week everyone

Payday tomorrow at Shazbat Towers - I messed my overtime claim up last month so only got paid time-and-a-half when it should have been double.  My managers vouched for me so they have rectified it this month and we will also receive our one-off payment of £250.  Or £170 by the time the taxman has had his share.  Anyway I'm going to move that and my overtime money straight into my savings.  DH says it's hardly worth it, but it'll be a nice boost.  I also need to look at doing away with my overdraft, as I start paying interest on it in a couple of months.  Plum has saved me another £14.24 into the virtual pot.

I’ve potted a few more pounds worth of travel savings. Pot is reasonably heavy now and the amount I’ve potted electronically is invisible to me as I’ve long stopped logging into that account to check the balance.
@siju I remember my daughter having reflux us a baby and it being a real worry as we didn’t know why she was crying so much. We had to give her some kind of gaviscon mix via syringe which seemed to sort it. I remember family help being much appreciated at the time so I’m sure your help is very welcome.
It’s definitely a good idea to do away with your overdraft @MrsShazbat. I stopped using mine once overdraft costs were made much more expensive a couple of years ago. Definitely a good habit to get into.

Afternoon

A few £s potted over the past few days. I am trying nottospend any money, so when I do, i try to use case as its more visible  I haven't spent much, but have potted all the coins i get as change.

£4.28 potted from change after going into town. While I was there I found an amazing bargain - lovely sheepskin -style coat in  M&S which  was originally £89 marked down to £40. I had a £25 gift card which was a Christmas present so I only had to pay £15 for this gorgeous coat! 🥂😊

Been a heck of a week already here with Hetty including a trip to the vets this evening.  Clean bill of health apart from an enormous lump that appeared on Monday evening which seems to be bothering me more than her.  We decided to leave well alone and just keep monitoring.  She’s about 13 now so as she’s not in any discomfort best left.  Vet thinks it’s a haematoma but why the bleed no idea as no bruising.  One theory is that there is a tumour (doesn’t have to be cancer) that has started to bleed ☹️ So no potting, just spending.  Day of contrasts too; after a 4 year wait today I have been offered an allotment! 🥕🥦🍓🥔🥬🍏🍐

Hetty, Hope Hetty is keeping okay even with the lump. I hope its not a tumour, but I know how worrying it can be with our furry friends.
