Well it's lashing down here today so I think the storm has started. Let's hope we don't lose any power this time..... A quiet weekend for us, I did have lunch with some old friends last Thursday and it was lovely to have a proper catch up and forget about the world for a bit. DD and DSIL have had terrible colds (not covid - they did a PCR) but it's just not shifting, poor things. I'm staying out of the way!!!!
DH cleared out a desk drawer over the weekend and found a pile of shrapnel for me to pot plus my own potting of £5.36.
Enjoy the rest of the week everyone, stay safe and warm xx

Storm has arrived here (York). I’m full of cold and I thought it was because I ventured out at the weekend for the first time in ages but apparently my son’s best friend has it and although my boy isn’t as bad as me we are assuming that’s it’s origin. No potting this week either ☹️Grocery challenge SPC #023 SPC 12: £125.86[/COLOUR]:SPC 13: £214.98: SPC 14: £297.41 SPC 15: £237.27 SPC 16 £335.39; SPC 17 ? Afternoon potters... what a horrible day it is! @siju the storm has definitely hit here and has blown a hole in our guttering that we now need to get sorted. If it's not one thing, it's a bloomin' other!
£16.68 sent to the virtual part of my sealed pot today, I am keeping my options open and it is helpful when we aren't using much cash with the pandemic.
Hope everyone is staying safe, keeping warm and isn't impacted by the storm in terms of power!

Hello all, signs of the storm here too down in the West Country,
Got a proper drenching earlier and hadn’t gone far, but it absolutely bucketed down.
As you say @LittleMissDetermined thoughts are very much with anyone hit with a power outage. It must be horrible, particularly those who have been without it for days. I can’t imagine how horrible that must be, but it has been really heart warming seeing other ordinary people stepping in to help those affected nearby
I will be potting some travel savings tomorrow.
Stay as safe and as dry as you can everyone.27/5/17 Mort 64705 BTs 1904031/12/17 Mort 59815 BT 1673007/04/20 Mort 49208 BT 1572128/07/20 Mort 47387 BT 1263414/11/20 Mort 45905 BT 10134 20/05/21 Mort 42335 BT 686811/08/22 Mort 32050 BT 2915Sealed Pot Challenge 16 Number 56 -

A very good Thursday Potters! If it hasn't been stormy it's been really bitter weather!! Enjoy Thursday, another very wet day after not too bad a start. Save in a way that's best for YOU! 😄If any of you are feeling poorly or perhaps low in spirits, and take care, and get well soon, then come on back with us, for now here are love and hugs to help look after yourselves ❤️Ohh, Siju, even now I can still hear (in a manner of speaking) your rain, everyone else's too, lashing down, especially against the windows during those storms!! Didn't it ever chuck it down!! 😰 I sincerely hope you didn't lose power again, and for those poor folk still without it in Scotland, it must be such a blow!!I'm glad you were able to catch up with friends, it's surprising just how much you're able to forget about COVID and everything to do with it when you're all chatting to each other and enjoying yourselves. We found it to be the same when we went to our friends on Sunday, just before the numbers shot up again! This virus and all its variants are such a pest to the world!!!! 😡I really do hope you're DD & DS are very soon able to recover, thank goodness they've had PCR tests!Well done for your DH finding some cash in his drawer! More potted!!!Well done with your cash and the rest of the week and do stay warm. xxI'm not at all sorry that the storm passed your way too, Hetty, it's a horrible day here today too today.I'm not sure whether you mean you've got a cold or the new Covid variant, Omicron? I sincerely hope it's not the latter Hetty!! Whichever it is I hope you're very soon much better! Take very good care and keep warm. xxYou too with the storm eh, LMD!! I hope the damage isn't too bad or pricey!! As you say, if it isn't one thing tis tother! Brilliant work with your potting!! Your additional £20 added is a great help!! 😊Keep warm and safe xxTuesday was a really foul day, Ant!! Even us (you & I) most certainly copped it, but nothing like N Ieland and up country over here! Goodness only knows how Scotland faired!! As you said though, thank goodness there are dear souls up there who are helping them through it all, bless them all!!£1.75 is very good indeed, Jade, and however much you manage, be proud!!Oooh fantastic potting, scotmumof3, very good of DH too!!! 😂Do STAY VERY HEALTHY and keep on potting/saving!!Sue xxNB Folks: The opening date for this year is 27th OCTOBER 2022

I’ve had some good and relevant cash back offers come up on my current account so I’ll be using them and potting the cash back amounts when they come through.
Ive noticed a couple of potters have debt free diaries. I find this challenge a great way of debt busting as it pays for something (in my case a nice annual short break, COVID permitting, in other cases it pays towards Christmas or whatever else they choose) The beauty of it for me is it avoids adding to any existing debt and I can enjoy a break that’s already fully paid for.
Have a good weekend everyone.
