Great news Hetty - We do of course always jump to worst case scenarios in these situations. I wonder if you could have sent Alex out to get the shopping in if the test was positive? When my Auntie had to isolate my cousin sent her 2 teenage kids to get her some shopping….. They came back with (no word of a lie) 24 eggs and 10 packets of gluten free biscuits!! (Auntie is a coeliac). We laugh about it now but my cousin was a little bit cross to say the least at the time

Ah Alex is only 8 so that was my issue.  I can’t leave him as even if I was negative having being jabbed I couldn’t  really even leave him in the car while I popped into the shop.  I was more annoyed because I had booked a precious child free day off tomorrow as it’s 10 years since my mum passed and I wanted to go to the cemetery to visit both my mum and dad and place some flowers.  Anyway it was good news (as I’d hoped as having a headache is not a warning sign of having Covid, thank goodness or I’d always be getting tested due to the stress I’m under!) so my day out is preserved.  Food and Christmas bits shopping early doors, travel to my home town to visit the cemetery and then round to my best friends house, new puppy cuddles and then lunch out.  Hopefully I’ll also sleep better tonight, although I think the glass of the chilled white stuff I’m currently supping will see to that! 🍷 I couldn’t find a white wine emoji 🤣

Oh and I have potted some change from the purchase of the chilled white stuff 💷

I hope the toothache is better soon, Sue! I had a terrible toothache last autumn when I was pregnant, I couldn't eat, drink or sleep with it. I'm sure the only reason I managed labour without any pain relief in January was because I'd recently gone through worse pain!

I took DS to a baby group this morning, which they ask for a £2.50 donation for. Potting my 50p change

Ah sorry Hetty I misunderstood. No idea why I thought Alex was a teenager. A useful reminder too that what seems just like any old date to one person can be a very meaningful date to somebody else.I think I’ll steal your idea tomorrow and get some chilled carbonated stuff so that I can pot the change.

Hello everyone. I've just spent a few days staying with family and took a budget for food and drink/outings and travel.  They would hardly let me pay for anything so I only spent £6.80... So I'm potting the rest of the budget (£23.20) to my sealed pot. It's the first note to go in but as I budgeted for spends I will not miss it.  This takes #017 to £109.47 it's coming along nicely.
If I can managed £100 a month that would be a wonderful October 27th!

Condolences to you over the death of your dear mum, I know 10 years is a fairly long time, but it's still a big anniversary to cope with.

Thank you dinglefoot it's very iffy at the moment but I've still some antibiotics to take so I remain hopeful, though I think it'll be coming out next week, a shame as it's one just passed the "dog" ones at the corner, so there will be a whole when I smile and even worse if I laugh, sadly he's already told me I can't put a false one in because of the epilepsy and possibly swallowing it!! 

Crikey, that must have been awful pain you'd gone through not to need any pain relief!!!

Good evening everyone! 

Just done my sweep of my accounts, rounding my balances which has resulted in potting £3.33.  My payday is next Wednesday so I'm hopeful to add a little more then (and hopefully sooner).
