It means you have to provide you Witness Statement, evidence and summary costs schedule to both the court and the claimant by the date given.

You knew that was coming didn't you?
It is clearly explained in the second post of the NEWBIES thread...

    Read on from that point.

I just follow step by step, it would be to much for that time. I knew it was something managable.
I'm going to go through it and find some directions how to do it.

    Thanks Keith
  • As there are 5 tickets in this case. Do I need to defend each one? Or just in general stating I never park over time as it doesnt bring me money, but only drop people off and pick them up + limited parking for coffe and servivces (which is the only time when I physically park)
    Does it make sense?

Will I have to learn all about the case of Beavis to talk about it in Court?? English is not my first language I'm a bit worried to be able to explain as it is in the witness statement template.

  • Does the defence stays in files for the hearing? (as it was written quite well)
I should not write all the same what I have written there, is that correct.
Shall I just pick the most importand things, related to me?
I'm very confused now as whitness statement is so individual, I can write what I did or what I'm sure I didn't. Can write that camera is recording you only in - out , not following if you park or cruise around or sit behind another car. But in fact I can not remember each of 5 days what exactly happened! How do I defend, what shall I write as a whitness...

Re-read the post I wrote yesterday on your thread.
I suggested that you need to once again read the NEWBIES thread.
  • I wrote to you because I did it couple times and am really struggling with making strategic decisions. I did a draft of WS now, ok will go through it again. Will it explain wich cases from the past I shall use for my case?

This is not painting by numbers. it can involve contract law, housing law, company law , kaw of agency, consumer law ect.  Two reads is insufficient for most peoe to fully understand the many complex issues here, keep readojn it until things make sense.

You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

Two reads of Newbies thread? I can't find anything new two my case there as is particulair and I read twice more just now, and plenty before. I say I'm struggling to read something that connects to my case where:
there are 5 tickets issued, for overstaying in the train station where you have parking (20 min max) and drop off/ pick up zone). Camera doesn't recognise the difference. After drop off  I parked. Then possibly stayed 20 min and then went to pick up area as I am a taxi driver (while their entry clock was still ticking).
I am only asking where on forum I can find some templates relating to similair scenario. The one in the forum is so particulair.
    I know it says:
NO IT ISN'TYOU DO NOT NEED SPECIFICS. FORGET THE DETAIL, MOST CASES ARE ALL THE SAME.
So, am I going to rely apart from Beavis case, mostly on small print on signs? I just do't feel self confident to say in court - 'No , I could not see it and I have never heard of parking restrictions here, but yes I come there 1000 times a year'.
I understand grace period is the case in my situation I can rely on - so I'm going to study "the IPC or BPA Code of practice"

There is a whole section about Witness Statement and evidence stage in the 2nd post of the NEWBIES thread.

But you are quoting something from the first post of the NEWBIES thread about appealing a PCN.

You are not appealing a PCN, so you don't need to read the first post.

Read the 2nd reply or just do 'control and f' on your keyboard (not phone) and search the NEWBIES thread for the words 'witness statement'.

Best examples in 2021 are by @Nosy and @jrhys as they show exactly what the file bundle should look like.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
