Oh my word, this is probably the first time that I have managed an entire kitchen list! Tbh, It is the first time in weeks (months??) that I have attempted more than a cursory s&s in the kitchen. Sides wiped and straightened, floor swept AND mopped, bits rehoused, bin cleaned. For good measure, I have also dusted and swept the newly vacated dining room as well. Towels out on the line fwiw.
DH taken to his eye appointment in small town. I went to the bank to sort out an account of DD’s because I can get no sense online or on the phone. Turns out that the branch has now closed 😡. To pacify myself, I went to the independent haberdashery / wool shop, had a lovely chat with the owner, bought the cotton etc to make the top that I need to cut out, and maybe slipped in a couple of balls of wool. In my defence, these will be for a C-shush present for DSiL. Well, that’s the plan anyway.
DH is doing his woe-is-me act until the drops wear off. I am either going to sew or tackle some of the undergrowth in the garden. Both will distract me from throttling him.10 -
Let's just say that the oven is cleaner rather than clean. I have also planted about 200 bulbs but stopped when my back began to ache.Spend less now, work less later.11

Afternoon
well I’ve had a busy but productive morning, everything took a little longer than expected but I’ve enjoyed myself so all good!
Bathrooms swished over, towels in to wash, figured I might get a small head start on the rest of the weeks listies
Kitchen done per the list
oven and hob scrubbed, all removable bits put in DW and run on a hot wash, looking much better
floor swept and mopped
2 x wm run and out on the line
bag and box full taken to charity ferlllllling!
some c-shush presents bought and ticked off my list
thermal socks bought for me, fed up of having cold feet when working at home and this might stop me putting the heating on!
Took car to be hand washed and vacuumed, that also looks much better
browsed around other charity shops, resisted the temptation of the books until I’ve cleared some more of my to be read pile!
walked around the reservoir in the sun, very nice it was too
sitting in the conservatory with my book now for an hour or two until it’s time to pick up Dh
take care all x

Kitchen cleaned (properly - but I did nothing last week) and washing hokey-cokey played. Bedding is dry enough to iron. I'm now on with the bathroom but simmering over something mum has done...nothing major, just poking her nose in.
I've also written an extensive 3 part list for half term - some of them are little jobs; some of them can be turned into two birds jobs (ie while I'm doing (a) I can also do (b)) and writing them down will help me organise them.

OH done the DW
Boog whining like a little beach. I dared to offer a suggestion when he couldn't recall the name of a shipping company and the I refused to go knock on the neighbours doors for his parcel. I did well this morning, clearing the first lot of bank admin from my desk and sorting out other bits of overdue admin. I also flew in the kitchen as per the list, and have washed and hung out WMx2. Oh, and I decluttered a pretty mug, but it has a rounded base and is too easy to knock over.
Since lunchtime I have hit another brick wall and not completed anything properly except posting the bank letter at the PO, to be signed for on receipt (I really don't trust that bank!)
My desk looks a bit better, but I'd hoped to clear the pile on top of the printer, and also do some gardening, and I haven't done either. In fact the printer pile has grown as I was the lucky (?) recipient of 5 letters and a package of printer cartridges this morning. Hey-ho. I will take Rosie out now and hope to declutter a bit more when we get back.
Jazee, I don't intend to tell Rosie how many walks your dogs get - she would be jealous!11 -
I had to hoover through as after the dog walk I managed to walk mud everywhere, but then I had a soak in the bath. Lovely. Easy dinner and the washing up is done.
Ionafan - the walks are not particularly long always and Littleydog only walks on one. For other walks she joins us in her pushchair. Her operation to fix her leg is this week thank goodness.Spend less now, work less later.11 -
Hi all
I have skimmed through. Self care for me in the form of a lovely 20 mile cycle ride home over the moors after dropping DSs car off at the garage at 8.30am. The autumn colours in the trees and bracken were amazing and the sun was mostly shining. Quick shower and then went to pick DS up so he could get his car and didnt give work a thought until I arrived in the office at 1.30pm. Finished at 8.30pm and straight home.
DH and I have made a mealplan for the week and a list of jobs to do. Nice to be organised. The car is playing up again, time to bite the bullet and find the money for a new part.
Bedtime, hope I sleep, been a bit restless the last few nights.11
