Cheapest Way to get MS Office?

With HUP it's linked to my company email address which is why I can't login to recover the product key. With the 2013 version MS (or rather their distributer at the time Digital River) emailed the product key with confirmation of the order so I was able to install and activate under my personal MS account.Jenni_D said:Was your O2016 not linked to a Microsoft account? Or did you not install/activate it prior to leaving that company?0 -
The reason I asked was that if you had installed and activated it using an MS account then the product key/entitlement may show in your MS account.

If anyone is still reading this thread, I have just purchased Office Professional Plus 2021 this evening for £30 from the website cdkeysales having watched the latest YouTube upload from Britec09. There is a special offer on in November which you can take advantage of by applying the discount code mentioned in the upload. The whole process from purchase to installation went very smoothly and took about 10 minutes to complete. Everything seems to be working just as it should.I haven't discovered the new features compared to my 2016 version, but no doubt they will become apparent over the next few days.2

https://theunitysoft.com/product-category/microsoft-office/I purchased Office 2016 from them today. Every time I extract the files and 'run as administator' it fails to install. My system is 64 bit which failed but I also tried the 32 bit version which also failed. Before trying to install I had deleted the Office 365 free version which only works on Onedrive but I signed out from my account. I also uninstalled Libre Office too as I though that was interferring with the install. I had also disabled Windows Defender firewall and antivirus in case they were interferring. I've spent quite a few hours wasting my time on this.Where do I go from here? Many thanks. You know what uranium is, right? It's this thing called nuclear weapons. And other things. Download the Office 2016 application direct from Microsoft, then apply the key you've been gven?

Doesn't sound right, you don't need to extract any files to install Office, sounds like you are doing something wrong. What error message do you get?Sicard said:Deleted_User said:I've used these guys for year, must have bought over a dozen Office / Windows licences and never had a problem:

When I buy office from them, they send a licence key and I register the key with my Microsoft account and they provide the download link.

The Office software itself is provided by Microsoft, not Unitysoft, they only provide the licence key.1 -
It's not quite as simple as that. I did have an Office 2016 Professional before which still shows up in my account although it's out of date. The key I have is for the basic Office 2016 so it doesn't work. It asks me to sign into my account but without giving me the option to download the basic version. My head is spinning so I'll try again tomorrow.Jenni_D said:Download the Office 2016 application direct from Microsoft, then apply the key you've been gven?

I finally managed to install the program by only selecting a couple of items. I only wanted Word anyway. Job done.
It's still a mystery why there was a huge problem in the first place. I'm not too impressed with the support from the company though. You know what uranium is, right? It's this thing called nuclear weapons. And other things. Like lots of things are done with uranium. Including some bad things.

Regardless of what they advised, what @[Deleted User] posted would have given you the full permitted suite where you could use the Product Key sent by Unity.
