I've installed 'FreeOffice' which looks very much like Word etc.  I haven't used it much as Office 2010 is still fine for my needs.

I've bought two keys for a 'lifetime 365 five user subscription' on Ebay

Not possible--- no such version exists.

Maybe if you say what you tried then others could suggest alternatives?
No point us giving options that you have tried

However have you tried Foxit, works for what I need but maybe you want other options

Thanks for the tip. Not had chance to check it out as some family health problems have arisen and they are my priority at present.
  • I got Office 2003 for 25p in a charity shop DVD 4-for-£1 today.
With a little download so it reads docx files it seems to work okay, albeit a bit retro in style!
A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.

Good idea, if it does what you require why ever not? I'm tempted now to load in my Office 2000 just to try it

The compatibility pack for Office XP-2007 to update the file formats is here https://download.cnet.com/Microsoft-Office-Compatibility-Pack-for-Word-Excel-and-PowerPoint-File-Formats/3000-18483_4-10648733.html

You might like to watch this short video which was uploaded to Youtube several days ago by computer expert Britec09. He has 629K subscribers and he knows what he is talking about.

If you do go this route, make sure you apply the BR09 discount code which will get you 30% off, making a cheap price even cheaper.

If you are looking for any form of assurance, it is worth reading some of the comments posted since the video was uploaded.

Used his link's previously for licences and all worked fine, having just rebuilt my PC I just used them again for Office Pro 2016 10 mins later I'm up and running. It does state onc eyou have the keys to activate on a MS account first and then download the software.
