Cheapest Way to get MS Office?

I've had a copy of MS Office through a HUP (home user programme) with my work for years.
I'm now leaving that employer and I need to find the cheapest way to get MS Office installed once I've uninstalled the HUP copy?
Can I re-register the version I have if I pay Micro$oft a licence fee?
It'll be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end....

Office 2019 keys are on Ebay or AliExpress for around £2.
I've used a few over the last 18 months and all are working fine.

I've used these guys for year, must have bought over a dozen Office / Windows licences and never had a problem:

I have always gone for a slightly older version - e.g. Microsoft Office 2016 rather than 2019, currently available for £17.84 from Microsoft Office 2016 Professional Plus (mssoftware.co.uk). No problems whatsoever.#2 Saving for Christmas 2024 - £1 a day challenge. £325 of £3663

I am using Office 2007 and have been since it was released. No KMS, just easy to install.
I only use Word and Excel though.
But depending on what you use, older versions can be a bargain.1 -
Do you need MS Office or are the open source versions an option?
I left the HUP as well and deleted the version I was using (though they didn't seem to ask me to) and use the Mac word processor and spread sheet etc. but it can save in MS formats.
Family use the Openoffice (different version of and all that) on their PC's and seem to do all they need on it.1 -
The process to fully enable them through MS works, so they can't be that iffy or they wouldn't work. Also the download is from MS.Langtang said:Jon_01 said:Office 2019 keys are on Ebay or AliExpress for around £2.

Sorry, didn't mean to be as rude as my reply sounded. I was just a bit concerned as the price looks very low - very MSE, but very low. I will check it out.Jon_01 said:

This was my thinking too. The differences are minimal and don't really curtail me doing what I need to do.JGB1955 said:I have always gone for a slightly older version - e.g. Microsoft Office 2016 rather than 2019, currently available for £17.84 from Microsoft Office 2016 Professional Plus (mssoftware.co.uk).
