I hope I neither open the floodgates of abuse, nor get myself removed, but I have been thinking about this overnight. It is such a travesty of justice and such bad understanding of law, that I wonder whether there is any realistic way to appeal this.

If there is and @ricky_balboa wanted to crowd fund it, I will chuck in a few quid
The pen is mightier than the sword ..... and I have many pens.

Sorry to read your story, @ricky_balboa; others have said far more eloquently than I what we all feel!  Do not despair but use you anger, frustration and more importantly your experience, to help with the judicial review .
  • I have just had a short break with my family and have had time to reflect on the telephone hearing and negative outcome from it.
I believe the judge and the legal representative for Britannia Parking carefully set me up so that i incriminated myself  saying i can see the signs now (but not at the time). There was definitely some warning signs that i can now see on hindsight and i wonder if i could've prepared better. I was possibly naive in thinking i would be up against a wet behind the ears junior paralegal and sympathetic judge but as they say ...."them's the breaks".

I have one last question i would appreciate some advice on please.

I have received a letter from BW Legal which is the notice of county court judgement.
They want me to contact them to pay the CCJ. They also mention a small fee to apply for a certificate of satisfaction from the court. They say that the court has ordered me to pay by the 2nd August.
But they then say that the CCJ will be removed altogether from the register if paid in full by the 19th August.
They go on to say that the court will charge a small fee for a certificate of cancellation in respect of the CCJ.

Do i just need to phone BW Legal and pay the CCJ to have it settled and not placed on my credit file?
I am assuming i do not need to pay anything other than the balance due to settle everything.

    many thanks

Yes and yes, and if the deadline is tomorrow, do it in the morning.

You do not need to pay for any certificate, it will just not appear as a CCJ on your record.

So sad you were stitched up at the hearings.  Some Judges are just bad.  I've seen it myself in court.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
