Morning all. Loving the positive vibes.
This morning I have made a start on a mountain of washing, changed bedding, sort of dusted bedroom, quickly hoovered through before DH started work and walked the dogs.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.10 -
Morning ladies
School run done, dog walked, some bits of paperwork flung into the recycling, and another egg sale arranged for tomorrow.
I am going to have some brekkie now, then put the clean laundry away before making a start on upstairs xx

Morning lovelies, I'm in again for this new week.
Bed made, clothes picked up
WM on
HHI x 2 basket now empty
Recycling out
1 item in textile recycling, 1 item in the bin, just spotted a few more bits to bin. This dot to dot method will work (I hope)
Have some work admin to sort for today and am out for coffee with a friend this afternoon.
Hair appointment booked for Friday morning10 -
Dailies done, living room sort of tidied, dusted and dewebbed.Spend less now, work less later.8

Round 1 completed + changed towels in bathroom, written shopping list, LFT test done and result sent in, clean, dry clothes taken upstairs and airer put away.
Question: smart meters - yay or nay? I'm considering asking for them to be fitted but unsure. My understanding is that the second generation meters are an improvement on the first...but ... all opinions for and against are welcome.
Going to Co-op now - and taking my birthday scratch cards to claim my winnings. Thank you very much.

Ironing done, just five items. Food prepped for dogs. Most of washing now on airer.
Smart meters - we have one as I couldn't see a reason not to. It hasn't made us cut down on usage though as we're pretty frugal to begin with.Spend less now, work less later.10 -
Dot had a meltdown over school this morning. OH took the other 2 and came back for her because she was naked.
OH has been bossed to do his learning
Squeak on with her learning
Meem bleached her hair so she looks like Eminem (I forgot his person name)
I've got dressed, take 3 lots of medication and sent cross messages to Vinted who are piddling me about.
I have 1 item to parcel and post.
On to email sorting and hang out washing and get the next loads in
Sorting christmas list to calculate how many tubes of sweets, bags of chocolate coins and boxes of matchmakers I need.. there are a lot. I fully intend a trip to one shop to fill a shopping trolley with all the stocking fillers we could ever possibly need. This method worked really well last year and will become our normal, so much easier than picking up bits every week and stashing it all in different places and having no idea where it all was. I do need to add gift bags too.. I shall count those up next.. I'm so cheap I get the reusable supermarket bags.. they work well and can obviously be reused and make it easy for people to take stuff home.
I MUST get DS2's room decorated before christmas so I can empty some stuff out of the middle room.. I want to do it today but I am in took much pain so it will have to wait.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)7 -

2x WM done, but will have to dry in the bathroom
Admin started but not finished
Long-sleeved cardigan (very thin) put on over thick but half-sleeved top (should be nice and warm but isn't) so I'm feeling a bit less chilly
DH has taken his car for its MOT
Round, I find the two biggest advantages of having the smart meter display in my kitchen are
(1) the 'on' light changes colour from green to orange, and sometimes even to red, if I have more than one appliance working, so it makes me stop to think whether I could turn anything off(though the answer is generally "No"!)
(2) if you push the right buttons, you can see the meter readings on the display, rather than having to crawl into the back of the cupboard under the stairs and out again, backwards, inelegantly8
