Claim Form Received at old Address

Hi guys,

I have received a Claim Form with issue date of 11 October. The form has a court address etc and the claimant is Walton Wilkins T/A Premier Parking Logistics.

The form has been sent to an old address of mine where my parents currently reside and where my car was originally registered. I have not lived there in the past few years. The contravention occurred in late 2020 and I have not seen any other correspondence apart from this Claim Form.

What would be the best course of action? Thank you.

The problem I believe I have is that when I initially got the PCN I emailed the parking company saying that I had paid. I sent a picture of my ticket as evidence and included my name. I accidentally gave my old address as I was fuming at the time and wasn’t thinking straight. They rejected my email saying that the ticket was due to parking not wholly within a bay.

The bay lines were quite non existent in many of the bays and I couldn’t see any signs either.

I have read the newbies post but can’t find anything that is similar to my situation. I’m not very good with these things and very worried right now.

All help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

What did your parents do with all the correspondence sent.  Bin it or pass it to you?

They don’t believe anything else came otherwise would have given it to me. They passed this on to me today. I can only take their word for it really as they are elderly so it is possible that something could have been thrown away thinking it was junk mail.

You should complete the AoS via the MCOL site (you details and password will be on the claim form.  Do not do it before 16th October.  Shortly, one of our regulars , @KeithP will be along to tell you about some deadlines and give advice about how to compile a defence using the defence template.

Thank you. Do I disregard the Claim Form then and send my complaint to my MP? Thanks again for your help.

See the post just above this (posted just before you did) and do NOT ignore a N1 claim form from a government dept.  Did it come from Northampton CCBC?
