Ryanair bans passengers who got Covid Chargeback refunds

We hear this bluster ever once in a while, whether disruption from cabin crew strikes, pilot shortages, withdrawal from certain airports, operational issues or delays - then people forget and still book with RyanAir because they offer cheap affordable travel for the masses. This latest issue, experienced by a few after they incorrectly sort chargebacks will soon blow over.
Then they deserve what they get. Ryanair lied about implementing this (see above) denying it would happen, and now it has, our toothless 'regulators' (CAA, CMA) do absolutely nothing.

If they do they will get passed from pillar to post if they need to be refunded in future. That is what happened for non direct bookers, two entities passing the buck between them.

Don't Ryanair rely on Boeing 737 aeroplanes? I think they had put in a big order for the 7373 MAX.
So this could be another reason to avoid them:

Perhaps it is foolish to worry about this kind of thing...

I was merely highlighting the drawback with this strategy.

truly madness,
I booked a car that was refunded. no issues there.
..
my bank gave me a refund, but Mastercard took it back from me 3 weeks later.
..
yes it will take PUBLIC (our money) money to pursue our refund claims.
Therefore I pay taxes to fund that support and many other things, to set the record straight.
Public money should be well spent as a landmark case against this OBTUSE behaviour.
If I get the refund from Ombudsman it will be put in the purse of an airline who does want repeat business.
..
Never will I look to the skies and dream of flying on his aircraft but only sink emotionally every time I see one.
..
Look !, if we don't book with him and everyone else says no, it wont be long before the airline flops,
do the math Mr O'Leary.
empty planes are not going to feed you neither is a plane full of virus.
..
I pray he stays safe and keeps 200 miles away from me !
only two things I have for him is my hand held out awaiting pennies from Heaven and a hope he sees the light.
..

however everyone was grounded. Everyone protected everyone else. except this carrier.
THE CAA are now on the case.0 -

This might be an avenue for some to reclaim their money.Posted by another user on the 12th October (1t page of this thread)>> I successfully sued Ryanair in the small claims court after they refused to offer a voucher when HMG advised against all non essential travel to Spain in July 2020. Ryanair were still flying and said if we did not fly we would forfeit the flights. The judge found that our contract was frustrated because the potential risk to our health was so great if we had flown as we are over 60 and classed as vulnerable to severe covid illness . Ryanair was ordered to refund our flight cost in full and all of the court costs. <<
