premier park parking charge notice

Hello,
I parked in b and q car park twice in one day, at different times with no more than 30 minutes max each time. I got a letter with two pictures both from different angles, saying I spent 2 hours and 59 minutes in total in the car park.
What could I do about this please? I thought that I could contact the people that work there, I am not too sure what to say or how to approach the situation. I get a little flustered in these situations and I am picturing a rather unpleasant man telling me that he doesn't care and that I shouldn't have done it.
I looked on the Pompey Centre website and there is a list of 1 star reviews all saying about the parking tickets they received.
Do I have a right to complain?

This is called double dipping and is caused by parking companies using ANPR cameras that are not fit for purpose. The UK government prohibits the use of these cameras for car park monitoring in council and local authority car parks because they are not fit for purpose.
Parking companies use them because the faults generate income for them.
The registered keeper should complain to the manager and/or the CEO of B & Q. Include copies of receipts if purchases were made. Do not reveal the driver's identity. An occupant of the car visited the store twice in one day.
If no cancellation is forthcoming then send the appeal template in blue text you will find in the sticky Announcement for NEWBIES. Send it unaltered, from the keeper.
Please tell us where this occurred as the site may have cropped up here before. If the store is part of a retail park, find out who owns or manages the site and complain to them.
Complain to your MP about this unregulated industry.
Complain to the DVLA that the keeper's data has unlawfully been released and processed.
Make the same complaint to the ICO about both the DVLA and the PPC.
Complain to the BPA that the parking company's cameras are faulty and have generated a false charge for two separate visits, and complain about the data breach as well.
Include proof that the car was elsewhere between the two visits in your complaints.
Get pics of the site and signage. I suggest you go on foot to do this.

Read some of these. There is no way that a PPC can win a well presented double dipping case in court

Have you complained to your MP?You never know how far you can go until you go too far.2 -
Hello,
Thanks for the fast response! This has me a little upset and I can't stop worrying. I am very angry about it!
I am guessing that I do not use my name or state that I was the driver when contacting either B&Q or the manager of the Pompey Centre?
I did not buy anything on that day, I was looking around for prices and stuff. I don't think I can prove that I was elsewhere either, is that going to be an issue?
I do look forward to complaining to my mp, that should be fun.
Thanks again

In the case of a double dip, imo, who was driving is irrelevant There could have been more that one driver.
There is nothing to get upset about, treat this as a learning experience.
You do not need to prove anything, that is down to the PPC.
It is all explained in the newbies, please read them ,You never know how far you can go until you go too far.1 -
Quick conversation with the manage of the pompey centre, no help there, contact premier park. He maintains that the car is photographed going in and coming out and that the person was there the whole time. Yet, the car looks parked in both photos from different angles.
I am not sure of how to handle the phone calls to these people. I am guessing any complaint should be in writing. How would I get a cancellation that was mentioned in the post from fruitcake?
Thanks0 -
Sorry I forgot to mention this happened in the Pompey Centre in Portsmouth

there are also reviews on that site stating others who have been caught.1 -
I spoke to B&Q and they said one of two options.
1. Go in with the ticket and they will give me an appeal letter, I would then be stating that I was in the car and it has my name on the letter. It could take up to two weeks if it goes through and if premier appeal in my favor.
2. Do it myself, Contact premier parking
I am anticipating an argument over the phone. I am going to try and record the conversation.
The guy on the phone at B&Q sounded like he had dealt with parking complaints before, from the information he gave without fault and the fact that you go in and they "help" you. Which seems slightly dodgy as that would be going against keeping the drivers identity out of it.0 -
The real experts will be along later, but I think there is no harm in anyone knowing that you were an occupant of the car, but no comment on who was driving. Personally, I would not phone. I would use email so that there is always a proveable 'paper trail'The pen is mightier than the sword ..... and I have many pens.4

Just go in and get it cancelled.I am guessing that I do not use my nameThat's wrong, why would you do that? The NEWBIES thread never says don't provide your name and details. You don't need to worry, simply say this:

Complain to the BPA that PP are not checking their images for the middle two orphan images where the car left and returned. Look, the BPA know about this inherent flaw of ANPR and require operators to do manual checks to avoid PCNs like these:
