UK male average weight is ~83Kg apparently - or was 11 years ago anyway. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-11534042#:~:text=Milk, ham and cereal, their lifetime, said the ONS.

    This link concurs: https://www.onaverage.co.uk/body-averages/average-weight-of-a-man

Minor weights on the front seats wouldn't have any significant impact on the car's "attitude" so I can't see what benefit they'd bring - but then again, I'm not a vehicle technician. :)

yeah not sure either. Arguably I tend to drive alone or with the two kids in their seats, so hard to replicate. (and i am only 66kg :) )

(On a completely irrelevant note, i read that the average female today, weighs as much as the average male did 50 years ago :) Probably from Bill Bryson)

With BMW KDS, enough weight is added to get the car to what BMW consider the normal ride height for the car, then the alignment is done.
    Measured, not guessed.
The machine itself is pretty much a rebadged Hunter Hawkeye, but the procedure is more detailed.
Ask a Halfords operative if they measured the ride height, see what sort of confused look you get.

Gets it done properly and would be a good selling point in the future though.
Kind of thing I'd be impressed about.
TBH if someone showed me a receipt for a Halfords alignment I'd assume it was all wrong anyway.

£109??     My local tyre place charges £35 IF all 4 need adjusting.  £15 for setup and readout and £5 per wheel
    that they need to adjust.

Are you sure that's not wheel balancing? You don't tend to do wheel alignment on individual wheels.

100% sure its the alignment.  I know not all cars have adjustable rears but all the cars I have owned in the past 25 years
have been adjustable on the rears also and that is what they charge currently.

If only the fronts need adjusting then it would be cheaper. Quite often the fronts are adjusted on both sides at the
same time but occasionally one one side may need adjusting so they only charge for what they adjust.
