is there a better and worse wheel alignment? (Not that i associate Kwikfit with premium service) maybe i should ask for other quotes although funnily enough none of the local garages (nor Kwikfit) have alignment prices on their websites.0

forgotmyname said:£109?? My local tyre place charges £35 IF all 4 need adjusting. £15 for setup and readout and £5 per wheel

In fact most tyre places seem to offer it significantly cheaper than that Kwikfit price.0 -
no, not yet i'm afraid. I have 3.5mm on my rear ones , which means about 1000-1500 miles left

One is the full BMW KDS alignment, where they place weights on the seats to replicate passengers etc.
Failing that, I'd go to someone with a Hunter alignment machine.
Yes you will get cheaper, but I don't trust them and see it as wasted money.0 -
Do they put 70Kg (~11 stone) weights on the seats, and do that for the 4 main passenger seats?
(An F30 3 series weighs ~1400 to 1500Kg depending on model... adding weights to all 4 main seats would add ~20% to the overall weight; if they only do the front seats then it's 10%. Would that have a significant impact on alignment?)Jenni x0 -
Funnily enough, Kwikfit added weights to the 2 front seats for the check. Didnt look like 70kg to me (unless the guy was super strong
