I have a 2lb gain to post today. Christmas eating is catching up with me. I haven't been to the pool or the gym in 4 weeks either and the weather is too bad for walking outside here. I tried in the snow last week and fell so I am staying in and just using my mini trampoline.

Raph, yep your half plate of salad counts as one; small fruit like plums and satsumas 2= 1 portion, 1/2 grapefruit is 1, apple/banana 1 etc; spoonful of dried fruit is one (only count this once a day too); beans and pulses count as a portion as well (again only 1 a day). Can't remember what you have for brekky (know you have weird eating times from job) but if you had a glass of juice and piece of fruit with brekky, salad with lunch/in sandwich, veg and pulses with dinner (I eat lentils a lot, fills you up so smaller portion of rice etc or just miss it our altogether) and another piece of fruit for a snack, that's 6 down! Easy once you get into the routine, honest! Well done on your first 5 a day! I'm sure someone out there could dig up a list for you (I did have one once so will see if I can retrieve it).

    Thanks bails,
I've been having smaller meals, so when I feel hungry I'm snacking on fruit. I have no buiscuits, crisps etc to tempt me, only healthy stuff in my kitchen (ooh I do have half a jar of peanut butter )
Today I had musli for breakfast, when I'm on earlys I like poached eggs on toast.

...ajax I'm 5'3" and don't even look thin  ..

We're the same height Petrichor :D I can't see how you don't look thin though as you are over a stone lighter than me and I'm not exactly the size of a house these days...

Yep Vix, a deficit of 3,500 cals (obtained via diet and/or exercise) is worth 1lb of weight loss. I've based all my calculations around this for the past six weeks and it seems accurate to me.

BB, chart looks great! Some fab losses this week, well done team!

Skipped my workout today, I've done loads of really heavy lifting and lugging about... I am exhausted. Lucrative day though :D

    Did someone mention bras?!:rotfl:

Sounds a nice bra pet, i would have been drawn to that aswell. Like i am when i go to BHS and see miffy underwear! I just hope you were fitted into the bra, because that would be -5 points overall :p +2 for it being in the sale though! Im 5'3 also, i think there are quite a few of us midgets about! Thanks for the avatar tip, i never knew that!

Thanks BB for the chart, you must be getting bored of me stuck on 00 all the flaming time!

I LOVE richard hammond, but his new hair makes him look ugly and scruffy. But hes too short for me, although id still do him in the back of a ferrari enzo in black, or my favourite car in the whole world ever, the fiat 500 (old version)

First day back of college tomorrow :( Its been nice having 4 weeks off.

Thanks FFM, mine is a 'innerscan' BC540 is yours the same? MrsSuggs thought she would offend me by buying one :rotfl:Well done on your loss too though :) as people say a 1lb a week is over 4stone a year :)

I will weigh myself in the morning, after a visit to the loo first of possible and before the visit to the gym :)

Thanks for pointing out I am still outside the heathly body fat range, but not by much ;) but if I just check............since last May its down from

As for turkey rashers? I prefer the bacon medalions, just the round bit of back bacon, 25 cals each and lovely :)

Bails, worth it? yes as I am that type of person that likes numbers and looks for pluses in the scores. Worth it, I cant comment as it was a present and I dont know how much there were. I guess its a case of what features you want and then finding scales to match?? Im still learning with mine, but happy to help in whatever shape or form :)

    Hi Suggs and Bails

My scales are the Tanita Innerscan Family Body Composition Monitor BC543, they cost £102 delivered, but they were my birthday present from OH to me (not that I have told him the price - but I'm sure he's guessed they were pricey).

I'm not sure they are 'worth it', but I felt that having met my target I deserved a treat and they were IT. What they will do is give me an accurate weight measurement and I'm hoping the muscle/body fat readings etc will let me see that I am not getting fatter but toning up.

Good job I hadn't joined the £4k challenge at that point :rotfl:

    FFM :)
