    Hi 👋

just an update I have now received the paper acknowledgment for the defence from the court-very generic.

It says that the claimant may contact me direct to attempt to resolve any dispute. As per Bargepole’s post I shall deny mediation?

    Thanks everyone

No to mediation - they want £160 (or whatever), your offer is £0 - so there is no common ground.

If the court orders a Dispute Resolution hearing (which is also a waste of time) then you have no choice. The outcome is still the same though - your offer is £0. (Ignore if/when the judge says you have no defence - 99.5% of the time they're wrong).

Hi again. I now have received the DQ from the solicitors but as advised by the newbie thread I don’t fill that. I’ll wait for the DQ from the court. How long does it take to receive the DQ do you think ?

Just download it from the CCBC - no real need to wait. (Check your MCOL history - it may show that yours has been issued).

The defence template thread tells you how to complete it (I think).

    UPDATE:

I’m able to get a letter confirming the verbal agreement for the parking arrangement from my ex employer at the time-even though I ended up not accepting his job offer after a trial period. 😊

    It will say

    Dear Sir/Madam

I …………………………. am the business owner (name of the business) and the Defendant was employed by my business at the time of the alleged contravention on a trial basis for two months.

This is to confirm that the business was newly established and was agreed verbally between us and the landowner/parking management at the time for our employees to be given few spots in the residential car park at the back of the business at (address of the car park) to park their vehicles.

This information was given to our employees and shown the spots that they could park in. Also employees dropped their vehicles at the front of the business and one of our Vale or member of staff will park the vehicles at the back where it was agreed including customer vehicles.

Please inform me if you need any further information regarding above agreement.

    Yours faithfully
    (Business Owner’s Name)

    I’d appreciate your thoughts please?
    Thanks

They should name the business who agreed.  'The business was newly established' makes it sound like your employer was.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Yes Coupon-mad the business was new. We shall put the business name where it says between us - the business name and the …

But overall how does the letter sound?

I’m thinking of putting this letter in my witness statement as evidence.

    Thank you

    Update:

I’m also able to get letters confirming the parking arrangement for employees at the time from 2 witnesses who were also employed by the same business. They’ve also got Claim against them from the same PPC so we will be supporting each other.

Do I name them in my DQ as witnesses?Because they will give me a letter confirming the arrangement as well but won’t be attending the court? Or shall I ask them if they could attend?

SorryI need a bit of direction from here
    Thank you
