Morning all
Not sure if this is the WAC or just very early morning?! Been tossing and turning for hours so have given up and made a cuppa. I’ve also written a huge list - so much whirring round in my brain. First job - request a doctors appointment 🙄
I haven’t had chance to read back yet, hope all is well.
Hugs to all, back later xx

Good morning all
I’ve been catching up with the thread for the week.
GI - beautiful pictures. She looks gorgeous xValli - congratulations on yet another cardi to knit! Hugs - dealing with aged parents is such a worry x
YL - are you able to take some time out, you sound like you are being pulled in all directions? Sorry if that sounds crass, meant with flylady love x
I can’t believe that CY has been gone for 5 years. I also never met her, but she was the one who unknowingly convinced me to stop lurking and to start earning my flylady badge.
ASB - good luck with getting the appointment x
Sorry if I have missed anyone, hugs, sticks and spoons as needed x
So I have today to make a flying difference. Round 1 (to quote a dear flylady ❤️) is change bed, set wm running, throw out dead dahlias. Round 2 will involve lugging the vacuum cleaner around. A friend is coming for a cuppa this afternoon, and I have to take DD’s car for a run before it seizes up, so I had better get a wiggle on.
Back later, hugs x9 -
8:30 and no drs appointments left.. my daughter cannot go back to work until she has a drs note and has been trying for an appointment for a week.. this is disgusting! I feel a complaint going in. They also lie now and say they have tried calling when there are no voicemails and no missed calls.. so you know they haven't.
I have a migraine today, started with niggly headache last night. I need to make a few calls but my bed needs me more, or my head needs my bed more.
Not sure if I can manage MIL's tomorrow I have already growled at OH 3 times this morning.
I need a cuppa and a million medications and I'm off back to bed I think. I wanted to go get Squeaks library card but I'm not fit for purpose.. blooming hormone crazies.
Not sure what I will achieve today but Squeak needs to do her spelling test, I have already printed off the work for her English class and she has an isometric drawing she can finish with OH and some RE to do.

Pigpen, ask your Drs to check that they have the correct phone numbers on their records. The hospital claimed to have rung DH and he never received a call - turned out that his NHS records still showed his old number.
Valli, congratulations on having another cardigan to knit.
Asb, hope you got your appointment.
Congratulations to your daughter, GI. Glad it was a great do and you've all made lots of happy memories.
My day has started with bad news from one of my Toddler Group families - their 5yo son has been diagnosed with a brain tumour and will be operated on today or tomorrow. Very worried for them.
The Horribly Silly bank left me in a bad mood yesterday, so we ended up taking h-m sandwiches and hot chocolate for a picnic on the heath near the Iron Age fort, in glorious sunshine. Rosie goes mad with all the rabbit scents!9 -
Devastating for the family, Iona. Hugs to you xx
Earlier list done. Bathroom cleaned, upstairs dusted and vacuumed. I’ve pulled my summery clothes out of the wardrobe to make me swap them over. That involves a loft visit, and as today is really warm, I’m putting the job off until another day. The door will be shut on the spare room where the offending clothes are piled.
Having a quick lunch, then I have some bendy carrots to make into soup for tomorrow’s lunches.10 -
How upsetting Iona x and Pigpen hope the head is better x
Fayolle I took your advice and finished early and went out on the bike. It suddenly started to get really dark though and although I have lights I am not keen on being out in the dark so I pedalled home very quickly.
Paid stuff done, nephews birthday card delivered, checked in on parents, stir fry made for tea, three loads of washing out of the line - have left some out.
I was in a meeting for 2 hours on Monday with someone who has since tested positive for Covid. Negative so far, fingers crossed it stays that way.
Thank goodness it's Friday tomorrow.9 -
Because I am an evil parent I have sorted Squeak a workload for tomorrow while we are at MIL's .. She has maths, a science lesson online, volcano worksheets and the ipad so she can practice her languages.. She is unlikely to get through it all but it is there and she is usually bored after an hour with the SIL behaving like a 5 year old.
The single road into the town is being closed at 8 so we have to come back no later than 5:30. We are apparently having Fabian overnight again.. He keeps mine entertained to an extent.
I will leave a list of stuff for this lot to get through here and hopefully not come back to devastation.
