Today marks 5 years since the lovely Cyclingyorkie left us.. it has gone so fast.. thinking of all our heavenly flyladies today and their families xx It is also my uncles birthday and 11.5 years since he passed suddenly.. Candle lighting later for all those no longer in our arms and monitors but only in our hearts. xx
Children decluttered.washing taken to the basketI'm going for a shower now, OH can make a cuppa and get Squeak up and running with her book club when he gets back from the school run.
OH can move the pull out bed from the landing to the shed, whole if he wishes, I don't care. He can speed shovel and deweb.. It took me 3 days to recover from doing 2 rooms!! I have a binbag to fling at CS. which should clear a chunk of landing.
Broken printer in the bin.
I need to divide Lionels cardigan to the sleeves and body.. Knitting 3-4 for a 17 month old is amusing.. he is almost as big as 3.5 year old Jasper. I had to pull out 9 rows at 12:15am which meant I had to reknit all the unwound bit before I could go to bed.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)11 -
Piggers - lovely words.
HELP NEEDED
I need sweets (mints) which look like prescription/OTC meds (for a lesson).
I've got Lidl's spearmint refreshmints so far (two layers!) and I will but tic tacs. Any others anyone can think of?Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

They're not mints Valli, but an old version of NHS The Musical used liquorice comfits divided into jars by colour as meds. (It's not a show that needed remounting as I discovered at the cost of a wasted evening about 10 days ago.)I've put three loads through the WM this morning, was pegging out the second load and it started to rain which was annoying. It now looks a bit more sunny and settled for a couple of days so I'll have another go before I trundle Layla. For the first time since we adopted her she hasn't got a dodgy tummy, her teeth aren't bothering her, she's been groomed and she's off the drugs. Her tail hasn't stopped wagging since she walked out of the groomers. It's heart-breaking to think she's seven and a half years old and this is the first time she's ever been properly, fully well, free and happy.Better is good enough.11

HB.. I am so pleased Layla is finally well.. you should be so proud of yourselves and her for putting in the work and helping her..
Valli.. Smints? They are teeny things.Showered, brushed & dressed, .. just sent Squeak up to do the same. Neatened my toenails before I put my socks on.. my big toes are rather sore now for some reasonOH de-webbed the house.. I hate webs and there are so many! He also fed the DW, took out recycling and emptied the upstairs bins.I've sent numerous emails and have phone calls to make next.. I'm fed up of being on the phone.
Food. then CS, Boots, drs and phonecalls to CMS, D&G and EHCP medication peeples.. *sigh* .. I hate making calls. Oh.. and hanging out washing at some point in there.

And well done on Layla.
Just been to see the aged P's - we are worried about mum but I got nowhere. She is, apparently 'not there yet'.

Same effect could be had from skittles or jelly beans if you're not set on mints, but you's have to watch for allergies to colourings and flavourings.. my sister would react hugely to everything.

Parents becoming more forgetful is a big worry, isn't it, Valli? (((Hugs))) x
Glad Layla is doing so well, HB. You have done wonders with her.
Jazee, I hope Littleydog's xray results are at least better than you expected.
Thank you for the reminder of CY's anniversary, pigpen. I often think back to the last time we had a coffee together, in the old signal box at York station, and the previous time when we had lunch in the cellars restaurant. We talked so much that the food almost went cold! Good memories!
I managed to clean almost all through the house this morning before the bagless thingy ran out of charge. Rosie and DH have done their best to make everything untidy again. I've also done 2 other things off my list, and 3 more added themselves during the day. My list isn't getting any shorter...

Valli there must be quite a few, but I cant actually think of any other than those already suggested. Interesting topic though.
OK I am having a meltdown here. I went to change our sheets to get them washed for hanging out tomorrow and there was a big spider .. in .. my .. bed ..... I couldnt see where it went so now I am convinced it is lurking under the bed, we have one of those lift up storage beds. DH has patiently taken nearly everything out, shaken and moved everything with the dog watching ready to pounce on the critter, but the spider is nowhere to be seen. I seriously do not know if I can sleep in my bed tonight. DH's patience is wearing thin as he keeps telling me the spider could be anywhere.
The car has to go back in the garage - I have to drive it there tomorrow after it died on DH today. Work is manic and I have to try and get back here by 5pm tomorrow to meet the man who is giving us a quote for fixing our woodburning stove (if I have a car).
Life could not be better.
Raising a toast to CyclingYorkie, I cant believe it's five years. I never had the confidence to do a Flylady meet, even though she was not that far away.
