Usually an incorrect spelling is a minor point if it is obvious against whom the claim is made. A completely different name would be a major point. As a matter of course you should tell the PPC they have the wrong name. Include proof of the correct name as an instruction to their DPO, and also with the SAR. A copy of the V5C is the best proof.
If you haven't already done it, you should send an email instructing the solicitors and their paymaster that although you deny the debt you are seeking debt advice so they must put the case on hold for thirty days as per pre-action protocol.
This should give you enough time to get a response to your SAR before they issue a claim.

The thing is that name on LBC is correct, just the surname on the response to my appeal 4 years ago is totally wrong. Like half of my surname in wrong, so my logic is. In fact I didnt received appeal response because it was addressed to wrong person.Fruitcake said:Doomtrooper said:

Dear Mr. xxxxxAs my local MP for xxxxxxx, you will, no doubt, be well aware of the Private Parking Company (PPC) scam that issues illegal Parking Charge Notice (PCN) around Liverpool John Lennon Airport.I wish to draw your attention to the problems that many drivers, including myself, have with regards to this illegal practice.Recently I have received a Letter Before Claim related to a PCN (issued in 2018!) from Vehicle Control Services, which is one of Private Parking Companies. Due to the sparseness of the particulars, it is unclear as to what are the legal basis that the claim is brought at, whether for breach of contract, contractual liability, or trespass. My alleged misconduct refers to stopping in a zone where stopping is prohibited. As so it happens, if a car goes fault or any unexpected circumstances occur, these would, inevitably, force the driver to stop, as a result. I am convinced that this kind of practice is against the law and should be stopped immediately.Second thing - Why company waits so much time before take action about even which happened 4 years ago. This is clear outrageous abuse and harssment.I trust you will be able to find the time to visit the location during one of these busy periods to see for yourself just how serious the problem has become and can, subsequently, lobby some of your fellow Members of Parliament to support any necessary change or adjustment in the in legislation to accommodate ceasation of these PPC predatory tactics.I am looking forward to hearing from you with regards to your views on this matter and what actions you would suggest in terms of moving forward.Many thanks in anticipation of your help.Yours sincerely,

It is against Airport Byelaws which allow for emergency stops outside of the driver's control.
You need to make it clear what you want your MP to do...how about write to VCS and the Airport to complain about this treatment of people and to ask what evidence they have...PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I deny any debt to Vehicle Control Services and will not under any circumstances make the payment that you have demanded in the absence of a court judgment.
According to the PRE-ACTION PROTOCOL FOR DEBT CLAIMS (PAP) and Practice Direction - Pre-Action Conduct (paragraphs 6(a) and 6(c)), you were required to provide me with specific data. However, you did not comply with that, which will be noted in further legal proceedings and will be drawn to the attention of the Court. Aforementioned data is as follows:
provide me copy of Initial Notice to Keeper
an explanation of the cause of action
whether you are pursuing me as driver or keeper
whether you are relying on the provisions of Schedule 4 of POFA 2012
what the details of the claim are; where exactly it is claimed the vehicle was stopped, for how long, how the monies being claimed arose and have been calculated
Is the claim for a contractual breach? If so, what is the date of the agreement? The names of the parties to it and provide to me a copy of that contract.
Is the claim for trespass? If so, provide details.
Provide me a copy of the contract with the landowner under which you assert authority to bring the claim, as required by the IPC code of practice section B, clause 1.1 establishing yourself as the creditor;
a plan showing where any signs were displayed
details of the signs displayed (size of sign, size of font, height at which displayed)
Please treat this letter as a formal request for all of the documents / information that the protocol now requires you to provide.
Until you have complied with your obligations and provide this information, I am unable to respond properly to the alleged claim and to consider my position in relation to it, and it is entirely premature (and a waste of costs and court time) for you to issue proceedings. Should you choose to do so, then I will seek an immediate stay pursuant to paragraph 15(b) of the Practice Direction and an order that this information is provided.
