Getting An MOT

I used to work in a car accessory shop. Loads of big macho males coming in to buy blades over the weekend with their wife / girlfriend in the car. We could see them struggling in the car park and coming in with tail between legs asking if we could fit them. Call the youngest smallest female member of staff to go out and do it for them4

Had the MOT, all went well except it failed on the horn ( of all things )
Also there is a nail in one of the tyres so i'll be off to a tyre place asap0 -

If the tyre's fixable with a plug, probably £20 or so.
If the tyre needs replacing, somewhere between £30 and £500+ depending on what tyre you buy, what size, what brand...

Hopefully it can be repaired then .. Thanks0 -
Had much fun with the large chains over the years, recommending something that didn't need doing, tis why I have found a good couple of independent garages. Won't beat the big chains on tyre prices but will fit what I ask for. Not to say you will get the same experience, they are probably all good now.
How much left on the tyres?
Some irony our compact run around is more expensive for rubber than the saloon (unless I buy ditch finders).0 -
OP - unless you are driving the pink Rolls Royce used in a certain children's film nobody is going to be able to trace who you are from the car you drive. The make and model is important to give accurate advice - or else go to Britannia's website and put indoor reg number and it will recommend a range of tyres suitable for the car.0
