Nice easy day today. Pottering done this morning including some money shuffling as DH’s pension was paid. My friend came round this afternoon for our sewing session. Once DH gets back from helping out a friend we may go to Sainsbogs for a few bits and pieces as I don’t want to go out tomorrow as we have a few bits around the house to do.
We are away Thursday night as going to Cardiff and seeing a matinee at the cinema. On the way home we will pick DS up from Bristol – he’s coming home for a week and will get the train from London to Bristol and as we are passing through on our way back from Cardiff it makes sense to pick him up and save him some train fare.
Breakfast was toasted teacake, lunch was soup and tonight its jacket spud, beans and cheese.

A few spendy days, but today an NSD.
Lovely and sunny here. We had porridge and berries for breakfast and DH cooked pork on the bbq spitroast and we had it in baps (which I made earlier), with stuffing and apple sauce. There is plenty left for tomorrow.
A load of washing done and line dried.
A walk around the village.Debt free and Keeping on Track0 -
Met a friend for coffee and catch up this morning which was lovely.
Nice and sunny but quite blustery which is keeping the temperature down – not a day for sitting outside.
Personal banking done, now all the pension increases have happened and DH’s tax has settled down we are slightly better off which is good news. Money shuffled and new budget set up to start from next month.
Breakfast was porridge with berries, lunch leftover pork with salad and tonight its scampi, chips and beans. Would have been oven chips but DS wants chippy chips so he will go and get chips while I get the scampi cooked! He goes back on Sunday. I will miss him, but it will be back to just the two of us and normality J

After an overcast morning its turned out to be a lovely sunny afternoon and evening.
I did some washing and tidying up.
One of the neighbours dropped two lobsters round and I cooked lobster mac and cheese which has made 4 portions and they will go in the freezer once cooled.
Breakfast was toasted muffin, lunch beans on toast, we went out to the local hotel and had a cream tea and tonight we had veggie “shepherd’s” pie (which we will be having for the next few nights as I made it in a large portion size thinking DS could have some, but he’s out tonight and goes back home tomorrow).

Not updated for a while. Everything OK - still plodding on.
Its been so hot lately, I know I shouldn't moan, but - its so hard to sleep at night.
Had a nice today for Dad's day. DS remembered to phone and speak to DH. We started the day with a fry up cooked on the bbq and ate it outside. This afternoon we went to a local hotel and had a cream tea - was really nice with views of the sea.
Tonight its jacket potato with a veggie filling and grated cheese - although to be honest I don't feel very hungry at the moment!
I've signed up for a free open university course and that's been keeping me busy and also testing my brain a bit!Debt free and Keeping on Track0 -
Great to hear from you. Many thanks about mentioning the OU free courses. I have just visited the site and it looks interesting. I am thinking of learning German and improving my French.1

A nice day today weatherwise and MSE. We met friends for coffee and toasted teacake at the local garden centre. We took advantage and went on the motorbike. After that we went to some nearby standing stones and then onto Marazion where we sat on the beach and had a packed lunch. Some bacon scones which I made the other day - we had those with a hard boiled egg and water to drink. We were going to get tea using our own cups (as its 25p less if you use your own), but the cafe was closed (so a saving there).
We got home late afternoon and after spending some time in the garden reading we cooked dinner of jacket potato with a veggie type filling with chilli and had some grated cheese on top. We ate that outside, but it's still really warm and we don't have much shade so now inside.
I am making some carpets/rugs using cross stitch etc., for the dolls house. I am working on the dining room carpet at the moment.!
Total spend today was £11 for two toasted teacakes, a large coffee and a tea.
