Opening a new thread as instructed.

I previously had a thread with relation to some PCNs (now closed).
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5994051/multiple-pcn-ntk#latest

A Letter of Claim was received directly from the parking company but all went quiet after a SAR was requested. DCB (Ltd) have since popped up. All correspondence ignored as instructed on multiple threads read.

DCB (Legal) are now in touch with a Letter of Claim. SAR has already been obtained from previous. I presume a new SAR isn't needed and I just fire off the email to DCB Legal?

You don't want to be submitting another SAR to the parking company if you have already done so, as they may see it as a duplicate and would be within their rights to charge you for it.  If, however, they did not supply you with all your data, you can send a follow-up to ask for it.  The trouble is in determining if they have any more data that you think they didn't supply!

Have you complained to your MP?
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.
  • I'm pretty sure I've got all the data from the original one, nothing appeared to be missing.

I have not yet complained to my MP, doesn't hurt to do so though, so I shall get on to that.

You should respond to DCBLegal denying liability and touching upon why, because the court expects you to engage.

Have they supplied a close up of the sign?  If not, ask DCBLegal for that under the pre-action protocol which requires parties to narrow the issues.

in an alleged breach of Contract case, the Claimant's pre-action information should include a copy of the contract (the sign) they allege was breached.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD
  • I shall respond to DCBLegal. I'll follow the guidance on the NEWBIE thread with how to word my response and a very basic explanation as to why.

They have not provided a close up of the sign so I'll ask for that.
  • A quick sanity check. The only place I can find to respond to DCBLegal is through a "defendant response" tab on the website, is that the right place to do so?
  • You can email info@dcblegal.co.uk

Set up a "throw-away" email address if you don't want to give them your everyday email address. If your email account allows you to ask for a delivery receipt (not the same as a read receipt), then you'll receive confirmation that your email was delivered. Don't worry if you cannot do this: DCB Legal automatically acknowledge emails anyway.

  • Lovely. Thank you very much Cyclopath.
  • Email sent to DCBLegal incorporating the wording from the NEWBIE thread and @Coupon-mad 's input. Thank you all so far for your help, much appreciated.
