    AdrianC, apologies, my point was that in these situations, some people become obsessed with blaming someone for a problem when their focus should be on fixing it.
    You could spend 5 days screaming at all and sundry when a problem arisen, all it means is that your problem is still there and you've just wasted 5 days even you could fix it in an hour. (It was more a general point as much to people coming across this later than this thread specific).

    I agree.  There is a significant difference between "How do I fix this?" and "Who can I sue?"

    Sometimes a hint (or even strong indication) of legal action is a good strategy to get slow wheels turning faster - but in this case the block on progress was primarily the LR - and threatening to sue them was a total non-starter.
