Tesco online deliveries - the good and the bad

Waiting for the announcement in due course that names, addresses, email addresses and phone numbers have been hacked. Let’s hope the card numbers aren’t involved. A long silence like this is ominous. Not too bothered about tomorrow’s delivery, which will doubtless turn up as planned, but just as well we had no last minute changes.1

It's back!

Quick warning for anyone who has an order held for the near future without their usual shopping on it - I've just updated my next order and Tesco's site kept showing error messages. Managed to get the order through in the end, but it took several attempts.

I did first Tesco order in months, delivered Monday as I had £3 in vouchers. Before signing in, the website had 11 pages of organic products. Signed in and that dropped to 8 pages. Couldn't order any fresh organic produce other than chestnut mushrooms. Did get everything else though.
Didn't get an email detailing what was coming, at all.0 -
Tesco are doing emails before delivery but it hasn't reached all stores yet.
Well overdue and I'm so glad they are finally doing it.5 -

Well overdue and I'm so glad they are finally doing it.The two thing that annoy me most though are the non-arrival of items showing on the app as in stock, and the inability even to remove or reduce quantity of some items from a pending order without deleting other items (and therefore losing the substitutes) because one item’s out of stock.1 -
I have been using them for some time (pre covid lockdown) and they are pretty good overall in comparison to the other supermarket delivery services. The younger delivery drivers are particularly helpful, some of their elders less so. Today, however, I have had an issue with my payment not being accepted at checkout ☹️ Anyone else having this problem?

No payment problems lately, and pleased to say that my store has now started emailing the substitutions list that used to be handed over as a paper sheet. Much better to know in advance of any changes.
Delivery drivers mostly very good, putting stuff into bags we leave out. The women, though, are the best - and I speak as a mere male!1 -
Thankfully I have just been able to checkout successfully using my usual card. Phew! It was worrying earlier though as I was changing things for a delivery due tomorrow. Just glad it was only a temporary thing. 🙂2
