I'm in the same boat, official switch date was yesterday, switched to Avro as they were the cheapest dual fuel deal.  Though now we're probably going to be among the people paying the most for their energy since we'll get chucked onto a variable rate with no hope of getting a decent fixed rate tariff.
No, you'll get a good price as the variable tariffs are the cheapest at the moment and are fixed until April. The price Avro were offering was clearly unsustainable as is the price my supplier is charging (who I expect to go out of business very soon). You can check prices here for the capped tariffs

Possibly not but they have to honour it up to the 3rd Nov this year.
Don't think so.  You'll be on the SOLR's variable rate from when they ceased trading.
So I'm going to be charged a HECK of a lot more, for an unspecified amount of time, and I'm not going to even know how much?
You know it won't be above the capped price and with the current market it will likely be at that level. See link above to work it out.

Variable rates were cheaper  so I might just sit on a variable ironically for a little bit the fixed rates  I have seen today were !!!!!!.

As a rough guide, I'd expect your "deemed contract" rates to be about 4p for gas and 20p for electricity (per kWh).  And oddly, I think you'll be better off on those rates than any of the fixes you can currently get!   I was with Avro too and had a sweet deal so I feel your pain.

    just calculate it:

    https://r6fd51uoetngaqh-db202106081427.adb.uk-london-1.oraclecloudapps.com/ords/r/apex_live/energy-price-calculator/home1?session=109082237858700

use your annual details and it will tell you what the current cap is.  No provider will be on less than this as even the cap doesnt cover the wholesale costs at the moment.

edit: someone already posted the calculator

Even more reason to pray that my current suppliers ride it out -using the calculator ,my costs would increase by ~ £60pm  = 57% !!

AVRO, my supplier went under yesterday. I went on to the AVRO site and downloaded all my bills and a screen grab of the credit balance very early this morning. I put in a meter reading for electric but by the time I got a gas reading the site was offline. The basics were there but it didn't bring up and bills, statements or other stuff. I'm glad I managed to get so much off the site before they took it offline.
Someone please tell me what money is

Even comparison sites aren't quoting deals most have taken any deals off so if people want to get quotes they will have to visit each site and click on get a quote. I think most people with a low usage will be lucky to pay under £60 per month.
£60 to nearly £80 was the prices I was quoted on many sites earlier for low usage with nearly £200 in daily charges, electric & gas, and kWh rates of 20p plus for electric and between 3.95p and over 6p kWh for gas.

The MSE Cheap Energy Club is still showing a huge number of suppliers, although of course a lot of them will be pretty shaky at the moment.

Would it be cheaper at the moment to have a separate supplier for gas and electricity?
I was with avro, paying £45 a month on dd, and for the 6 months I was with them had built up approx. 50 pounds credit
