Avro Energy concerns
I recently switched to Avro on a fixed tariff due to the upcoming energy price hikes my first official payment was taken by Avro on Monday. I thought fixed tariff customers were protected? I am concerned now as I am in a situation I was hoping to avoid and not sure what will happen next! Should I just wait until I hear from Ofgem?

Your supply will transfer to another firm and you will be put on a variable tariff with no exit fees, if you want to switch.M.W said:I recently switched to Avro on a fixed tariff due to the upcoming energy price hikes my first official payment was taken by Avro on Monday. I'm in the same boat, official switch date was yesterday, switched to Avro as they were the cheapest dual fuel deal. Though now we're probably going to be among the people paying the most for their energy since we'll get chucked onto a variable rate with no hope of getting a decent fixed rate tariff.1

Looks like they’ve folded. I read elsewhere they’ve gone, so tried to login into my account and was unable due to “an unexpected error has occurred”. We were in a fixed until April22. We’ll see what happens now then.0

Same here, deal ends on 3rd Nov but I fixed a new 12 month deal with them only today that starts on the 4th Nov. I hope the new company that takes over will honour that deal. Fortunately I have the new contract via email.1

Possibly not but they have to honour it up to the 3rd Nov this year.0
