Later myself and DD are heading off to a hen party for the w/end. I have sashes for everyone as my contribution and in America was able to pick up some toiletries cheaply to put into goodie bags along with some other bits from Home Bargains/Aldi. My Mum bless her has made the goodie bags up for me using various gift wrap/accessories I sent her and they look fab.

The stay I've already paid for so no more costs except for lunch and any drinks we buy. Looking forward to a relaxing time including the treatment I've booked as part of the package of having a massage. So glad I choose this option. The facial I had last week in the States was incredible and included massage of hands, fingers, front of shoulder and upper chest area, so def wanted a different treatment this time.

Last night DS and DD went on a night out together  for the first time ever since they became adults (and DD is 21!). DS has been taking advantage of a set ticket price night out where certain drinks are inc in the price and a handful of pubs participate and have rolling hours where the offer is applicable eg pub 1, available 8-10pm, pub 2, 9-11pm etc. We gave the usual info parents free taxi available till midnight when it closes after that then you have to sort and pay your own way home. DH picked up around 11.30.

CB CC was paid off yesterday just out of everyday joint acc, we will work out what should have come out of where and why when we get chance which unfortunately doesn't look like anytime soon as DH is back working abroad next week. Savings to pay back debt won't go out until Mon due to 1st of month   being at  the w/end.

£600 has gone into savings today to pay off the remaining debt on the credit card. This fetches the pot to £7200. The o/s balance on the CC is currently at £8105 so an outstanding £805 debt, which will reduce to £705 in a weeks time when the min £100 monthly payment comes out. Nearly there!

Looking at this and the bills that go out at the beg of the month  versus our wages being paid and I can't wait till the day we are choosing to save this amount of money rather than servicing debt with it. Our gas/electricity bill has gone up. We were on a fixed deal so had missed all the rises until recently. Looking back I see we paid the higher amount last month too but must have missed it due to everything else going off.

Enjoyed hen party. Only cost not already included was lunch & 2 cokes  for myself & DD, plus a glass of wine for me at the evening meal, everything else was either provided or the other guests had brought along. Total cost an additional  £33.10, not bad for a w/end away.

Thank you everyone. Vacancies have come up as 2 of my colleagues have decided to leave for pastures new due to offers of increased salaries/progression. For me the job suits, it's on the doorstep, a 5 min drive away, walkable if necessary.  For most of this week I've not even had petrol costs as DH working abroad so borrowed his car.

DS has asked DIL about a divorce and she's told him she doesn't want one due to the cost??? Divorce isn't possible at the min anyway until they've been married a year but I believe they can have a legal separation, whether that is sensible to sort out any financials or whether you're just paying twice and might as well wait and divorce, I'm unsure. Legal advice is going to have to be sought. DH asked DS if he had ever seen any indication of the way DIL has acted and he said no and he's known her for the past 6 years, shared accommodation with her from the time he went to Uni at 18 and been in a relationship with her for nearly 4 years. I'm still finding it all bizarre, so goodness knows what it's doing to DS.

On the debt front I am quite excited for Monday but our next min payment on the CC goes out and then I will give another update on where we are at.
