  • I have purchased a number of times now from 'Perfume and Aftershave' because its so reasonable!

The delivery time has been fantastic- an average of 2 days - and the sample bottles look exactly the same as the real thing- they just don't have the boxes- so I followed Martin's advice and got a gift box instead! Definitely worth a look- and they have some quite difficult to find fragrances too! :T

New to this - sorry if posted in wrong area!

Confidently bought 'Ghost' from Cheapsmells.com, who turn out to be based in Guernsey, for my Mum's 60th birthday. Unfortunately, although the packaging and bottle look the real mcoy - it's not! Be aware

Cheap Smells is 100% genuine. The only thing that bugs me is that the delivery cost seems cheap at 95p but you're charged extra for any subsequent additions to the order.

Perfume Plus Direct is super cheap and the delivery cost is only £1.95, no matter what you order.
  • Sorry if this has been posted before, but could someone give me some info on cheapsmells.com. Im looking to buy my bf aftershave for fathers day and obviously want to find the cheapest I can, however I have no idea how these perfume sites work and I dont want to be buying him anything fake. Feel free to post any other good genuine perfume sites.

Sorry again if Im repeating things people have already asked. Im new to all this.

Read above RE: Cheap Smells. I'd go for Perfume Plus Direct, they're cheaper and have a fixed postage charge.
  • The best and cheapest sites for perfume I've found are shop.co.uk, feelunique.com, cheapsmells.com

All of these sell genuine products (not testers) and their prices are the lowest around.

Testers are still genuine products. I don't think Feel Unique is very cheap at all actually but Cheap Smells is. There are loads of similar sites about but Perfume Plus Direct and Cheap Smells are the cheapest. I always go for the former because I don't like Cheap Smells' delivery charges.

Just tried this site for the first time after reading about in on the thread. I wasnt looking to buy a specific brand as it was for my hubby who seems to drink aftershave!

Got a 75ml Hugo Energise for £15.99 as it was from the damaged box campaign

Spotted a 100ml CK One as well for £11.99 again damaged box

Ordered 2 bottles of loreal sun lotion £3 each. Ordered Tue before 1pm order arrived today (Thu) only thing was one bottle of sun lotion missing. Emailed them had a response in under 15 mins apologising they are sending it out.

Also the boxes werent even badly damaged! The Ck One looked a bit grubby and the Hugo one was slightly bashed!

As long as my sun lotion turns up they will defo get my business again.

Sounds like you got some bargains Groovegal. Did they send you the missing sun lotion?

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
Just received a 50ml Armani Elle/She for £19.95 plus £1.95 p&p. Ordered Friday, turned up today. I'm very impressed, its supposedly a tester but as its for myself who cares. RRP is £35 so a good deal.

I'm all for money saving, in the sense of not spending out more than needs be, and being aware of a bargain. But the article on 'cheap unboxed perfume' really smacked of penny-pinching, rather than money-saving.

I can think of few things more tawdry, unromantic and frankly vulgar than, upon deciding to buy a loved-one scent for Christmas, trawling the internet for some unboxed second which costs a few quid less and putting it in a different box. Perhaps if you were being really 'money-saving', you could fish out an old box from your kitchen cupboards and put it in that: saving you all of £0.00001.

A lot of this advice is useful and sensible, but some of it is distastefully penny-pinching. This seems to be one of those. If one were in the position that a boxed, proper version of scent were too expensive to give as a present, then surely the answer is to chose something less expensive but complete and as it should be, rather than give some 'shop-soiled' good on the promise that 'it's fine, it's just missing the box'. Romantic? Tasteful? I think not.
