Sainsburys Energy (run by Eon Next) and Eon Next have pulled their cheap fixes
Options
If you're using the MSE Energy club it will still show these cheap 1 and 2 year fixes. I managed to switch last night, the new tariffs seem a fair whack more expensive (no surprise). Managed to switch last night and was going to switch a relative this morning and was surprised to have missed out!

Sainsbury's Energy 2 Year Fix and Reward v18 2year fix

No surprise here!!0

The only surprise is it lasted beyond the weekend.

Yup... amazed that they lasted as long as they did, they were serious outliers in the fixed tariff space.
I think 2 years fixed in the current market is a decent hedge - hopefully I'll be able to switch to something cheaper during that time as I'm still paying 60% more than at the start of the year (when Simplicity folded) - but relatively speaking it's as good as it gets for the moment0 -
So glad I switched to the 2 year fixed yesterday afternoon, never felt so lucky.
Was trying to talk my mum into it, but when I did her quote this morning I saw the new prices too.
Glad I checked out this forum yesterday.

Her courage will change the world.
Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.2 -
Just spent 3 months trying to switch a family member from Eon Next...not a good experience to the point where I would avoid Eon Next like the plague. Hopefully others will have a better experience. They also insist on a smart meter which we don’t want.0

Is Sainsburys Energy likely to go bust though, with these tariffs?0

In theory, if it wasn't working for either party they could withdraw from the joint venture but if that happened I'm sure the accounts would just become Eon Next.1 -
We managed to sign up this morning around 9:30 to their 2 year fixed price deal. I’m guessing they will honour the contract now? We are with Bulb and looking to switch to a fixed rate deal, hoping it’s all ok! We got confirmation emails etc.0
