I've got a few more spends to declare:
£21.20 on the month's supply of dog food and treats. Would have been less but OH insisted on getting him extra treats!
£3.89 in asda on 2 litres Pepsi max, a stroganoff packet mix and milk.
First "proper" shop in aldi today. £22.16 on 8 litres fizzy, 2 lamb shanks, 40 dishwasher tablets, orange juice, deodorant, hairspray, sweet chilli sauce, 2 asparagus and emmental parcels, 2.5kg potatoes, 8 wraps, pancetta, tomato puree, broccoli, 5 instant porridge pots, basil, plums and 1 red pepper.
The lamb shanks were almost £6 and definitely not on the list, but OH really wanted them and they'll do him 2 dinners.
Meal plan as follows:
Breakfasts: porridge, bananas, raisin brioche waffles or pancakes.
Lunches: chicken wraps or focaccias for OH. Houmous and carrot sandwiches, vegan sausage rolls, cheese and onion pasties or vegetable rice for me.
Snacks: crisps, cookies, angel cake, plums, mini cheeses.
Dinners:
1. Veggie sausage and mushroom stroganoff with pasta.
2. Pumpkin and pine nut filled pasta in a herby butter with a pesto, tomato and mozzarella flatbread.
3. Sourdough toast topped with balsamic tomatoes, mozzarella and basil.
4. Breakfast for dinner - scrambled eggs, cheesy hash browns, baked beans. Veggie sausages for me, pancetta for OH.
5. Halloumi and pepper sweet chilli wraps.
6. Veggie (Quorn mince) cottage pie.
7. Pie (for me)/lamb (for OH), mash, gravy and veg.
£59.67/£200About £5 over where I'd like to be, so will try to bring that down for next week.4 -
Please can I stick with the same budget as September . The rationale is I did a massive shop at end of august which gave me a head start for September and I've benefited from £37 of vouchers too this month. I did come in under budget so if I do that again in October I will decrease the November budget
so
£320 for me for October please5 -
Hi everyone. I'm not going to do a budget for October as I haven't got a clue how it's going to work out in our motor home. I will keep popping in and update you all and to keep an eye on you 🤣😂

I've done a store-cupboard order to be delivered this week. I need to make sure I have a bit of fuel left and have a hospital appointment in the next town. I already need to edit the order as I forgot dishwasher tabs but reading on here has reminded me. It will be my main shop for October and to make sure, it has gone on my credit card, rather than the debit one.Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)
OS Grocery Challenge in 2025 I am at £1286.68/£3000 or 42.89% of my annual spend so far
I also Reverse Meal Plan on that thread and grow much of our own premium price fruit and veg, joining in on the Grow your own thread
