Thanks for a new month @elsiepac

I use my credit card for all grocery shopping and then pay off at the end of the month. The reason for this is to collect Tesco points. I rarely shop in Tesco but have their CC. I use YNAB to keep track of my grocery spend so although it gets paid next month it still comes out of this month's budget - if that makes sense!

I already need to edit the order as I forgot dishwasher tabs but reading on here has reminded me. It will be my main shop for October and to make sure, it has gone on my credit card, rather than the debit one.
This is the first time I have gone for delivery rather than click and collect and I realise the payment will actually get taken in November. My CC cut off date is 16th (October for this transaction) for the statement with payment taken around the 10th of the following month - so it is a good job I have an annualised budget really, with a separate pot for stores.
I'll post my up to date figures tomorrow. I have been scooping my monthly leftovers (allowing £200 a month) into the stores pot that started at £400 and it is at £610 with over £400 spent so far this year before the shop. DH's pension comes in on Friday or Monday for the fresh part and the wine (!) will go to the treats and entertainment pot that is not in this challenge.
I gave myself a serious talking to last night and removed the turkey that was in the shopping basket. Actually, it was for the planned trip to Scotland (10 people in two cottages) but frankly, we don't need to be so extravagant.Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)
OS Grocery Challenge in 2025 I am at £1286.68/£3000 or 42.89% of my annual spend so far

Just spent ~£100 on the supermarket shop however we shall see what they manage to deliver (usually 1-2 things missing) and £10 I'm going to take from the gifts budget as I got ingredients for dinner, ice cream, choc sauce and some treats for a friend who is recovering from a thyroidectomy. Dropping dinner off at her house on Monday Eve and other friends are covering other days. So that's ~£90 gone for me, but will update the amount when it comes on Saturday. Quite pleased really as there are a few personal care bits and I snuck in some matches, candles and other bits for the house.7

Hi @elsiepac can I be put down for £480 please?
This is lower than last month but I actually think we'll be fine. I've already done a musclefood order for £78.50 which arrives on Saturday and provides 58 portions of meat, so that will spread over more than just October. that leaves £100pw for everything else.
We're stocked up on cleaning products, no big events meal wise, I'm going to have a few weeks without wine as wanting to focus on exercise a fair bit this month. Also relatively well stocked for pantry staples so am feeling positive!!!
