My friends and I have been planning to go away together, but no one would bite the bullet and book the holiday. In the end I did, which meant paying for everyone on my credit card. I used a cashback website, which means I'm due about £60 back. Should I keep it because I did the work, including finding the best deal and making sure everyone had paid what they owed me, or should I share it with my friends as their money helped earn the cashback?

The others weren't prepared to put the effort in to make the booking so keep the cashback as payment for you effort.

I'd keep it but buy them a round of drinks when you get there.2

Definitely keep it for yourself - consider it a perk of being the one prepared to do the legwork when the others couldn’t be bothered.1

Absolutely keep it, it’s not a deal on the holiday, it’s an incentive for being a cashback customer or as part of your credit card account so that is for your work. Buy a round of drinks like someone above says if it eases the guilt a bit but otherwise enjoy your trip0

pick up a holiday meal tab to the equivalent amount with a smile and nothing more. feel satisfied you made everyone feel good0

Keep it. You did the booking, you took the risk the others would pay you.0

Definitely keep it. You took the initiative and put in the work - it can be quite time consuming. I bet that if you hadn’t sorted it then no one would be going away. A reward for all your hard work. Have a great trip.0

I think this time, keep it as you put in the work. You could buy a round of drinks?
But you could share to them how you did it, and get them interested in cashback.
Maybe even share some referrals with them
Everyone deserves to get a little bit back. Use this is a teachable moment.0 -
Keep it you did the hard work 👍0

Did you clear your credit card costs in full and not have to pay interest? If not, put the money towards paying it.
Morally as your friends contributed equally to pay for the holiday, it could be argued they should share the cash back. Otherwise you are making money from their contributions. If it worries you enough to have thought this is a real dilemma, then share the money.0
