ParkingEye Parking Charge Notice

Am hoping for some advice please. My car entered a ParkingEye carpark on 30/07/21 and left after 2hrs 33 mins. We paid £4.50 for 3hrs Parking. This weekend I received a Parking Charge Notice from ParkingEye saying I need to pay £100. It doesn't state whether they believe I didn't pay at all, underpaid or infringed rules in another way?? I paid at tbe machine via credit card and my credit card bill shows £4.50 being paid to 'Parking Fee London'....I was in Bodmin.
Is anyone able to offer advice on my course of action please?

Ps another family met us there and have the same fine letter so are in exactly the same boat!!

Why not ask PE?  BTW, their signs are pants, read this and complain to your MP.

For starters , please read the newbies FAQ sticky thread near the top of the forum in announcements

Post a redacted copy of the front of the NTK , minus references and personal details , obscure name and address and VRM details etc

Post an unredacted picture of the rear of the ntk PCN too

Looks like it's not compliant with POFA , the golden ticket category in the newbies FAQ sticky thread , meaning that you appeal as keeper using the blue text template , no blabbing about who was driving ( unless you want to lose , lol. )

It may be worth adding an extra line stating that they have failed to comply with POFA , so cancel the PCN. Plus an occupant of the vehicle paid for 3 hours parking time so no contravention occurred and their charging system is faulty

Thank you, I'll look into it as you suggest, cheers

Thank you, isit this below that you refer to that I should use?

TEMPLATE ''ONE SIZE FITS ALL'' FIRST APPEAL THAT DOESN'T SAY WHO WAS DRIVING:

    Re PCN number:

I dispute your 'parking charge', as the keeper of the vehicle. I deny any liability or contractual agreement and I will be making a complaint about your predatory conduct to your client landowner.

There will be no admissions as to who was driving and no assumptions can be drawn. Since your PCN is a vague template, I require an explanation of the allegation and your evidence. You must include a close up actual photograph of the sign you contend was at the location on the material date as well as your images of the vehicle.

If the allegation concerns a PDT machine, the data supplied in response to this appeal must include the record of payments made - showing partial VRNs - and an explanation of the reason for the PCN, because your Notice does not explain it.

If the allegation involves an alleged overstay of minutes, your evidence must include the actual grace period agreed by the landowner.

THE NAME AND POSTAL ADDRESS OF THE KEEPER (OR THE HIRER/LESSEE) GOES HERE, OR IN THE RELEVANT BOX ON THEIR APPEALS PAGE.

    THE DRIVER IS NOT IDENTIFIED.

DON'T POST IT BY ROYAL MAIL UNLESS YOU HAVE NO OTHER OPTION ON THE PCN.

CERTAINLY NOT BY RECORDED DELIVERY - FORGET THAT!
ALWAYS USE THE ONLINE APPEAL PAGE - OR EMAIL IF OFFERED AS AN OPTION ON THE NOTICE - BECAUSE THE APPEAL CANNOT GET LOST AND YOU CAN KEEP PROOF/ A SCREENSHOT. NO NEED TO USE YOUR REAL SIGNATURE IF YOU HAVE NO OTHER APPEAL OPTION BUT POSTAL...BUT OF COURSE YOU PUT YOUR NAME AND ADDRESS!

You can (carefully!) add a little to the template above, 'in order to resolve the dispute I attach copies of...':

    - the driver's receipts/bank transactions (or Hospital Appointment/Hotel booking, etc.) that day as 'they' were a genuine customer/patient, etc.

Correct , adapt as required , some of the above is guidance notes , some requires filling in , like personal details and reference numbers , add any extras too , which the bottom guidance says

But definitely no identifying the driver , because a driver has a steeper slippery slope to climb , the POFA helicopter is there to give the keeper a quick comfortable lift to the top with no anxiety

Think of dads army , don't tell em Pike !!! Oh Mr Mannering , you gave it away !!  😁😁😁

    Thanks again
May I ask why you think they are not compliant with POFA?
