Thanks ed - I'm sure I'll get the hang of it when I'm trying to quote, edit the quote to the bit I'm answering and write my own post….. 🙄 Sometimes things are simpler…. the way they was.

ed - I was in fArmf00ds again today, and spotted the tinned haggis. Just for interest, I picked up a tin. I don't think there was a wee haggis inside it, in salted water or whatever. It was clearly more……. 'stew' consistency. I looked at the ingredients, I'm not sure I'm curious or not as to what 'lamb lobes' are…..

    Everyday's a school day.

@Greying_Pilgrim - lamb lobes are just another kind of offal hun - in this case lung - for meat eaters who eat offal it's not an issue, but for the squeamish or super-tasters among us it does have an odd texture/taste compared to everyday meat iyswim. Personally I don't enjoy the taste of liver or kidney but can handle both tongue and heart. OH often orders steak and kidney pie for one, and I go with chicken & leek or mushroom. Different strokes for different folks I guess.

Yeah, I call lungs 'lights' hun, but realise it may be a dialect thing. I was under the impression that haggis was more than just chopped lung tho. And for sure it is a dish constructed of offal, as the original casings were stomach or intestine. I thought there might have been heart and liver/kidney in there too.

I was just curious as to what the tin did contain, as I hadn't considered it might be a whole haggis. But it was clearly just the components, minus the casing, from the ingredients description, and cooking instructions.
