I am fuming! L&C were meant to be calling me back this morning to discuss our remortgage. An hour later and no call, put through to an Adviser who said that "he had no appointment recorded but that he had marked in his diary to catch up with me".
Having notes of the previous conversation (because I have poor short-term memory) and having checked the date and the nature of the appointment with L&C admin last week, I'm super unimpressed. Every time we have used them there has been an issue with Advisers calling when they say they will/completing some other agreed action. I'm also quite unsure what the difference is between an appointment, a catch up and why he didn't feel the need to call me for either.
I have taken my business elsewhereI gathered additional information, bank statements etc. which I needn't have done. It also increased my stress levels and I've missed an hour of work waiting and being distracted.

Also had a bad experience with L&C, only used them as the mortgage we wanted was broker only.
They recorded our house as a 2-bed 4 reception room semi, rather than a 4-bed 2 reception room detached.
Advised them of the mistake but they didn't update the surveyor who sat in his car at our gate for 80 seconds, didn't get out and who subsequently valued the property at a lot less as a result.
Then had to have another surveyor come out actually check what we were saying was right and the house was valued at what we stated it was!5 -
@CCW007 - that would have really boiled my potatoes!
I am putting thoughts of remortgage to the side for a little while, local broker are confident that they can assist once I get 3 months out from the expiry of our current deal.- £9.76 OPed (I'm going with the @KajiKita view of what constitutes a large OP as I'm confident it closely matches Mrs E's sentiments)
- £50 added to Home Maintenance budget
- Mounjaro ordered and £7 odds added to OP pot for tomorrow as I'd budgeted slightly too much
- £8.12 withdrawn from Prolific and added to my personal spends budget
- £2.40 and $10.38 earned on Prolific so far today
- S&S dividend pot had a tiny dip. Added £1 to my smallest holding because I can't leave well enough alone
- A funny sort of productive then not so much day at work

A tough end to the week - it can be very hard to appreciate my Fridays with DD2! Mrs E thinks I unfavourably compare her to her sister at 3-years-old but I'm pretty sure DD1 didn't sass me, scream at me and sit on the couch trying to kick me when she was in a mood
This too shall pass...
She has now had her last childminder day, we're nervous about the transition but looking forward to the £400/mth improvement in our finances.I have already completed my 5 hours of overtime for the week and I am feeling a little worn out, with a couple of cases getting to me at a personal/sympathetic level. Still, a sign to take it easy this weekend. On that note, we're off to visit more distant parent (physically and emotionally). Not sure how I feel about that but they have at least planned our time for us in a way that allows for some quality time but not too much, for which I am grateful. There is a seldom seen aunt visiting, too, so plenty of distraction.- £18ish withdrawn from Prolific
- £8.84 OPed
- £3 earned on Y Live
- £3 paid into my S&S ISA dividend pot
- £2.52 sin tax paid into my SIPP (£3.78 after tax relief and tax code adjustment)
- £2+ dividend received from my most speculative holding, a 20%-yielding asset manager
Too tired to chat more, off to grab a wee half hour of gaming time before bed.
Happy weekend all.11 -
£8 OPed.Mrs E taking the girls out for a couple of hours this morning - mulling over doing absolutely nowt vs overtime.7
