The cold got worse, spending the day in bed as my first sick day in nearly 8 months
I've not managed more than c. 4 hours sleep a night since Thursday.
Doing some very light life admin from bed. DD1 now the owner of a dumb phone, got a £4 tariff from Asda that seems ideal for her needs, could possibly have shopped around more but couldn't be bothered at that price.
Mrs E has been paid, her promoted wage is £100+ extra after tax
*Edit: £3 from a Y Live survey8 -

As an unwanted development, the guys showed up to replace our misted window unit. Children's toys everywhere, me in my bed
They were pleasant enough, but rushed a bit too much for my liking. Just little things (not fully pushing the seals back in and limited technical help with stiff handles which consisted of a) spraying clouds of WD40 and b) saying that one of the windows needed replacement hinges and that the guy who quoted had missed it)). I seated the seals properly and can spray WD40 myself
Still, £144 for a window that won't leak anymore seemed fair. Not sure if we'll bother replacing the hinges, not that big an issue at the moment.7 -

Thanks beanielou
Chase current account holders might like to check their app. I was offered a saver account boosted to 4.8% for 6 months, beats my cash ISA. Savings moved from ISA to new saver account, it's not huge but will cover DD1's mobile bill!6 -
You could try spraying the hinges with silicone spray, instead of WD40 if the windows are UPVC. Works as an all-round plastic lubricant in motorhomes and in locks. I don't see why it would not work on hingesSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

Thanks @earthgirl2. Sinuses and cough greatly improved today but finding myself absolutely exhausted. Simple things like hanging out a basket of laundry have me needing a lie down 😅 Anxious that I might not be well by tomorrow, worried about being judged for absences after my long term one last year.5

how wonderful!Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!6
