Survey earnings look good today, I should be able to make at least $40, but will need to balance with the demands of my real job. Initial plan is skive off for an hour this morning and work an hour late this evening + work through my lunch and ask Mrs E to make me a quick sandwich. Not ideal but I'm feeling the joys of spring, the house is clean and the sun is out.
*Edit: $60 earned, my eyes are melting with tediumBack to work for a rest.

@Suffolk_lass- I'd say Prolific et al are entirely different from the usual consumer stuff. Mere pennies of my Prolific stuff is directly identifiable consumer surveys, although no doubt the AI stuff is all feeding a giant LLM somewhere to ultimately make money. As a non-retired person with young kids, I don't have time for "studies" (interests and the like), but I can find time for "studies" that help me fight off cost of living challenges!
$26 and £3 or so today, almost all from Prolific. My total for the month is IRO £265, waiting patiently for Friday to see.£4.34 OPed.9 -
$40 from AI surveys tonight, off to bed now as cream crackered!
Forgot to make an OP, will make a larger one tomorrow.8 -
I am admiring your persistence and results with the surveys. I seem to be excluded from so many … 🤷♀️

@KajiKita - thank you

- $20.24 from studies today, $20 of which was from Prolific after a survey that I had mentally written off paid out
- £8.68 OPed
- Mrs E now officially promoted, 5% pay rise effective from April.

Nice when you get paid for a survey you don't think you will. Good news on Mrs E promotion.8

Great news re the promotion for your OH and you are becoming survey kingDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Month end musings coming later, cuddling with DD2 at the mo10 -
Drum roll please..... (get your lists ready)
Month end figures are in and the scores on the doors are I broke even?!?- Home equity up by the highest amount in 10 months - apparently OPs do something?
- DB pension up by c. £2,000
- SIPPs down by c. £2,000
- Debt and cash on hand both up massively because of money transfer
Despite a rather bland outcome, I am chalking this month up as a win, various things I'm pleased with.- The aforementioned return of OPs
- YNAB (a better measure of walking around money?) shows us £1,300 up for the month
- 2nd month of walking around NW increase after 4 months of falls
- Many budget lines ended the month in a surplus
- We're keeping cash on hand for celebrations that usually end up coming from our Grocery budget. £200 and rising. 'Mon the Easter
- £262.35 withdrawn from Prolific and Connect, £50 still to come from Y Live
- £55.10 set aside for tax
- £15.76 paid into my SIPP (6% rounded up to the next number that multiplies by 4)
- £4.33 OPed
- £2.20 cashack from TCB (bought a £5 Just Eat voucher with some left over pocket money)
- £2.42 cashback from Chase
Feeling cautiously optimistic about March:- No Council Tax
- £50 to come from Y Live
- Feed in Tariff reading due tomorrow
- I start the month with nearly £400 in pocket money, no idea what I'll spend that on
It's a mini money party.
