Thanks @Suffolk_lass - those sorts of things will hopefully feature. Just feeling generally scunnered, DD2 hard work at the moment (terrible twos) and home (which was my sanctuary from work) sometimes feels as hard going as work now

£6.34 OPed, trying to TT the account down to the nearest tenner. Made c. £6.50 on surveys, mostly Y Live.7 -
Well in my admitted limited experience girls become reasonable reasoning human beings before boys do, I am saying nothing about when they are older. The terrible 2s turned into the really dire terrible 3s for about 3 months. Those boundaries that they have to keep pushing are draining. I finally sat DS down for a chat & told him I was fed up with telling him off & both of us feeling cross, which meant I was saying no to things that if I wasn't feeling so cross I would probably say yes to. Paraphrased of course. I have only shouted at him properly once since when he was ten & I banned screwdrivers for a couple of years. I am still quite amazed that it worked though.9

£10,250 money transfer paid into my ISA, savings will now produce £50+ of interest a month. Know it's borrowed money, but might be able to replace it with eventual inheritance monies and just leave it in ISA. Got a year to figure it out, not bad for "free"13

Teachers are treated appallingly by other teachers, there are many "empire builders" who are not necessarily teachers and the working conditions are poor. Attitudes to diversity and inclusion can also be very 1950s.badmemory said:All my family from great great grandfather, down to father, sister, cousin. I wouldn't touch it with a disinfected bargepole. My sister taught in a very middleclass school. Had a visit from ofsted who told her head to take some of the extras from her, he did the opposite & then she told off a girl in her class & father came to see her with his fists raised. She was retired by 50. I hear it is even worse now.6 -

Thanks @AlchemillaWe had a lovely morning. German style continental breakfast (sausage, boiled eggs, rye bread, pickles and veg) and then went for a walk as a family to Newlands Park, a beautiful local spot. We had coffee and cakes, plenty of walking and then I got stuck into the housework.Dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer and oven cleaned, extractor fan filters washed, drains flushed with a solution of soda crystals. Cat 1 flea treated, recycling out and a load of laundry done.Settling in for the rugby with a couple of cans of Guinness now, DD2 has been out for most of the afternoon at a playdate.£12.34 OPed.7

Sorry 'bout the result ed, but it was a very, very engaging game. Hurrah for the result from an English perspective, but I can absolutely see how Scotland believed they would be victorious - they played so well. And terribly sorry, but Fin Smith....... 👍👏 I loved how his mum couldn't contain her excitement at his penalty kick, despite what must have been divided loyalties.......... 👏edinburgher said:Still enjoyed
