South_coast said:Instant doesn't touch the sides of my caffeine addiction SC!@Suffolk_lass - Thank you, I ordered some replacements yesterday, picked up a small bag of beans from a local cafe that was able to grind them for me. I'm not chalking this up to the aforementioned bad luck, it's just wear and tear of a silly wee part that had been fraying for a while.8

A weird day. Had a quiet spell at work, looked for jobs (no dice), then really busy! Asked a relative about allied health professions, need to find something in demand that I can get into that actually hires, my job hunting is going nowhere.
Decent wee day for surveys. $10 and £9 from Prolific, £3 from Y Live, $0.25 from Connect. Gave DD1 half the Y Live money as she nominally helped
In the office tomorrow. Still experiencing discomfort after surgery, but not enough to avoid another office day.7 -
Ed - I completely understand the NEED for coffee - we have an unwritten rule in the office that no one talks to me until the caffeine has taken hold - usually about 3/4 through the cup. If the talking is that urgent then meet me with a cup of coffee in hand & we can do a deal!4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! All my family from great great grandfather, down to father, sister, cousin. I wouldn't touch it with a disinfected bargepole. My sister taught in a very middleclass school. Had a visit from ofsted who told her head to take some of the extras from her, he did the opposite & then she told off a girl in her class & father came to see her with his fists raised. She was retired by 50. I hear it is even worse now.8

I also can’t do instant .. I do need to get my next batch coffee beans - might try something newDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.
