Do you have an HR dept you can take this too? Or someone to arbitrate as an unmotivated worker is hardly ideal at the best of timesMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!5 -

I have a colleague with decades of experience who says that ours is the only directorate where they've encountered such a request not being approved.
I'm obviously biased but FML what a bunch of tightwads with my time and my desire to give them back some money in exchange for it 😆

So sorry to hear about the denial - only good news is anger can be a great source of motivation ...DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

In more positive news, couriers have started bringing the nice bits of our Christmas food that I couldn't get from the supermarket. The fishmonger has just been, with Barra scallops (Christmas starter), undyed smoked haddock (Cullen skink and poached for a holiday brekkie), chicken livers (pate) and samphire (cos I love samphire)6

Not Covid - some other virus leading to a 39.4 degree fever? An irritatingly spendy day - cats needed another prescription certificate and flea treatments (one of them developed an allergic reaction to the new stuff) and dry food. Managed to get 8kg of the usual decent stuff for c. £21 on big river.4
